Easter cheapies at Gameplay

Just spoken to someone at head office regarding that - they ARE all new, but some stock is shop stock thats come back to the warehouse. It's been opened and stored in the drawers, but they're not second hand.

I guess if you've got an issue with it though you can take it up with customer services, but as far as I'm aware it's all new stuff matey.

Ridiculous, they should let their customers know this information. I bought Crysis Maximum Edition and the box is all tattered up and you can hear the discs rattling inside. I definitely will be getting onto customer services.

For anyone considering AvP at £22.98... its £24 in store at Tesco, so you could pick it up today for pretty much the same price, if you wanted.

I've had issues like this with Gameplay/Game. 'New' game arrives unsealed with the game seal on it, scuffed to hell box but the disc is mint. One of these that has come from one of their stores after they remove the disc to put the box on the shelf. Personally, I want my product sealed - main reason why I rarely buy from these guys anymore.

Their customer service is shocking too - nightmare.

I've had Infinitive Undiscovery on the 360 turn up effectively as 'ex-display stock', where I can't be bothered dealing with there terrible CS again. I had this too with FEAR 2 in their Xmas sales. I got no where complaining to them. They simply offered a refund and apologised for sending secondhand stock in error, which they hadn't done, it was ex-shop stock. Basically ignoring the point I was making (include in the product description EX-DISPLAY stock!).

I guess as others have said if receiving Brand New/ Not ex-display stock is important then don't order online from Game, Gameplay or Gamestation.

I've seen various people on other forums have these problems. So it seems a common theme. So I don't get why GAME/Gameplay describe them as new when the cases are damaged and the booklets in some of them are ripped.

I've had new/sealed stuff from GAME/Gameplay too, but it's bit of a lottery where their stock is concerned (particularly during sales). Their CS is slow, and will just offer a refund - which ignores the core problem of lots of 'ex-display/damaged' stock in their warehouse which could be sold more honestly.
