Its like the coolest remote control in the world.

'One remote to rule them all'

Controls up to 12 devices, I currently have 6 remotes in front of me right now, and a 7th on the way with my new amp, so this would turn them all obsolete!

Flick of one button, say 'Play Xbox' and it turns on your 360, puts your TV on to the right input, and powers up your amp to the right input for your 360 and off you go!

Its well worth it if you ask me!!

Voice activated?! I would love to have my light switch voice activated.

It's not voice activated, what he wrote was misleading. He should have put 'say, for example'.

              Sooooo tempted now!
I bought one of these a couple of months ago from an american seller on ebay for around ?70. Its a great remote and not having to juggle six remotes about now is fantastic. The only downside is that its took me all this time to set it up, the software is quite fiddly and slow to use. In the long run though its worth it and should be future-proof.

It covers pretty much everything from VCR's to remote dimmers and Laser disc to remote curtains. It's constantly updated online so all you do is plug in your remote via USB and tell it what equipment you have.
As posted before it can take numerous tweeks before it recognizes your particular model and the software is kinda slow and cumbersome but once sorted it's an invaluable piece of kit.
I've got the cheaper Harmony 525 remote and i think it's got pretty much everthing that the 360 one has (apart from the specific 360 buttons) and is less than half the price.

can you still use the 525 remote on a 360? I would guess so but wanted to check. I actually prefer the look of the 525.

vcr? nope... dimmers? nope... laser disc? nope.... curtains? nope.

automated house would be 'the ****' though, less the vcr. hmm, may look into getting one of these then though i've only got 3 remotes and can get anything running with less than 3 button presses. i quite enjoy talking myself out of spending money .

                      remote vs more games... hmm.

Hmmm, so you can use the 525 on the 360. That pretty much means its identical then? Is there actually any difference apart from the looks and extra 360 face buttons which you should still be able to assign to other buttons on the controller.

If so then I may just consider getting that!

Rossco - if memory serves, a US-based person I know looked at the two of them on the release of the 360, and basically all there is to it other than those extra face buttons is that the 525 has a nice blue backlight rather than the 360 green.
