Gamestation have done this to me twice now the first time a couple of weeks ago with Drakengard (a snip at ?3.99) that never arrived and now Metal Slug 3. When I phoned about Drakengard I was told it was late because they had been doing a stock take, they phoned me back a few days later and told me they had none left and refunded my money. I phoned over Metal Slug yesterday 24/2/06 and they very nearly said exactly the same, it hadn't been sent because they were waiting for a delivery from their main warehouse. I was told it would be sent out right away, so I'm expecting a phone call in the next few days to say again even though the computer thinks they have some in actual fact they haven't.

As for the order comfirmation/order sent emails I was told they are automated and will be sent out regardless of wether an order has or even can be fulfilled, I presume that also applies to charging accounts (as happened in my case).

Either way I think Gamestation's online practises are very poor and it's only the fact that the price was so low that got me to order after the first dissapointment. Needless to say I very much doubt I'll be using, or rather not using, them again!

I had a similar problem with them, instantly invoiced and charged for some Xbox 360 gear, got a despatch notice as well but when I asked them where it was it was never in stock.

Update - my Metal Slug 3 arrived this morning - Took a week to travel 35 miles (1st class post). Still happy I got it.

Yep, my copies of Alien Hominid and Metal Slug 3 arrived this morning in what can only be described as 'used' condition even though I paid for new copies.

Needless to say, they're going straight back!

Some very local bargains. In Castleford Cash Generator, there's a Saturn with joypad and all leads going for a tenner. They've also got PS2 Prince of Persia Sands of Time for ?2.99. So anyone who fancies these, pop on down. Some guy's also cleared out his rap collection, so there's a few choice hip hop CD's down there.
