Yeah, they're marked up at the full ?49.99, so ?25 each. I'm tempted with Chromehounds for ?25 but, seriously, there's nothing else 'cept Full Auto that I could see marked up as BOGOF for 360. And I'd rather eat my face than own that.

Argos seem to be selling off all their Gamecube stock. It was never exactly comprehensive but you can pick up a GC/Smash Football Pak for ?49.99. I've never owned a Nintendo console - as of yesterday after a long trek across north London, I do now, bought mainly to be able to play Twilight Princess, if it ever arrives :-)

Only problem with the Argos offer is that they've emptied their central warehouses and all the remaining stock is held at a limited number of individual stores. Although these can be found (with a bit of difficulty) via the main Argos web site it means that you can't buy/have it delivered online/phone/mail-order. You can only reserve it and then have to travel to the store yourself. A pain.

Just come back from my two local Game shops - seems all GC hardware has been removed from display and only one small shelf of secondhand games are left. Not many bargains there yet.

Reason for post: also went into CEX and picked up what looks like a very well kept copy of Eternal Darkness for ?3! Noticed they had plenty of copies of Metroid Prime at ?6 and many other 'premium' GC titles at under ?10 too.

This feels to me like Dreamcast end time all over again. I picked up about a third of my DC library + a new console at silly low prices after they 'cancelled' it. Same thing seems to be happening with the GC in the UK. Suits me fine :-)

PC World's website have it on pre-order for ?37.99 delivered. Worth checking PC World's web site as they tend to be a lot cheaper than anywhere else. I got Company of Heroes for the PC for 20 pounds for example and it arrived on the release date.
