There are a couple of roaming tattoo artists on your way to different towns (they usually seem to wear those tall hats), and I know there's one in Knothole Glen. But damned if I can remember more than that... Sorry!

I'm now about 3.5hrs in and its all good. My guy has some strange beard/tattoo combination going on that apparently makes him massively attractive but completely unscary - personally I think it should be the other way round. The next proper quest for me to do is the escort the traders one but I've still got the Hobbes massacre with Whisper left and also a mission to rescue a boy - I'd almost completed it when suddenly he died - I really can't stand the way half the time the enemies swamp people you are trying to protect - if you're a melee fighter its an absolute arse as you have no way of keeping the enemies off. Still I'd done a hero save just prior to that and I'd gained some money and lots of experience so I don't mind doing it again.

The only thing I''ve really found disappointing so far is the rubbish titles that are available to buy. I can't stand being called Chicken Chaser but I don't particularly like any of the options available. Does anyone know if any more titles become available later on?

Yes. - Another trader outside the Arena.

I decided to be called Piemaster but got a bit fed up with being called a lardarse when my character is slim. Avatar seems appropriate so I've stuck with that since.

What could possibly be better than Arseface?

I'm quite liking this considering I hated KOTOR; it didn't leave the XBox all evening.

It has that "just one more quest" charm about it for me. Oh, and the fact that the Guildmaster sounds like Treygar from Knightmare.

Well, I'm now watching the credits. I don't want to spoil anything, but this is for those of us who played the Ultimate Good Guy all the way through:

That last decision was tough. I almost couldn't bring myself to keep being the good guy.

This game has been awesome. The credits are a bit long, but I don't like to skip over things, even though it does give the option. I'm hoping it will have a continuation feature, where you can keep playing even after you've beaten the main story part of it. I imagine it will.

I have attained Legendary Status with my renown maxed. I have the Solus Greatsword (costs about 78,000g from the market in North Bowerstone, or whatever the place is called). It's well worth it, though. Also got some Puppetmaster's Mace, but I don't use that. I'm hoping to find all of the legendary weapons. I'm also twice-married. Once to Lady Grey, and once to some other woman in South Bowerstone. Don't worry, they never find out, because neither of them leaves their respective places. I'm waiting for Lady Grey to give me a gift, like my other wife does.

Anyways, I think the credits are almost done, so I'm going to post this and see what happens.

EDIT: The final battle was a bit tough. If anyone wants a little recap so they know what to expect, and what to take with them, let me know. I picked up on a few handy little things while I was fighting.

If you want to continue the game after its completion you have to watch the credits through the end as far as I can tell.

I haven't played KOTOR (much) or PSO, but this game reminded me of Zelda a little. The sense of community and the location being a 'real' world, but with less obvious dungeons and, dare I say it, a little more grown up. There's also that feeling when you find something but don't know what to do with it, that you'll be able to figure it out when you have new abilities or more experience, so you can just pootle off and find something else to do and come back later and figure it out at your leisure.

I still find it really sad that the people saying it is too short have, effectively utterly misunderstood the game.... like those giving strategies to maximise your stats in the dullest most tedious way, when all that is going to acheive is an hour or so of boredom followed by a really old character (your character ages as you spend experience points, i.e.: levelling up increase your age, which IMO is a difficult and satisfying procedure - I don't want to get too old too quickly, but I still want the power and skills...). The best way to maximise your stats is to look for interesting things to do and just do them...

It seems that as soon as you take away a clear description of what the player has to do, or a clear reward system to tell them how clever they are most game players brains turn to mush. I guess they don't have the imagination to find their own way in the game. And this game, more than any other I've played at least, requires a great deal of empathy with the characters and situations it presents.

If anything I'd want to compare Fable to the feeling you get when you get involved in the characters in a good book you can't put down, rather than another videogame.
Also a note for those concerned with longevity: the game lasts as long as you want it to last. It really is that simple. And the replayability level is pretty huge as so much of the world responds directly to decisions you make in the game...

And to add to the controversy over the games duration there is someone posting on the official XBox boards suggesting that there is more to the game after its apparent completion than people might think. He's The Better Bard, posting rhyming clues to game content that no-one has yet seen (or at least, reported seeing) and suggesting that Fable 1.5 might be a download that fixes at least one (relatively insignificant) graphic glitch (texture loading in Oakvale for those that care).

Might be a hoax, but it's all pretty well written and ties in with the game, and the feel of the game... if it turns out to be true then its one of the better 'Easter Eggs' I've ever come accross...

                        Better spoiler this
Im far enouh into the game now and have gotten round to meeting the mayoress. gave her the black rose and now she wants her necklace which she says is in oakvale. I go down to oakvale but theres nothjing out of the ordinary there at all. I chat to people but theres no mention of it. do i have to progress further into the main quests (im currently about to go get the archeoligist for the second time) or am i missing the blindingly obvious? Or have i borked that one up completely before i started. Since i found the body in the cellar of grey house much earlier on when i was having a wander. Im just wondering if ive broke that mission before its started and im wandering around fruitlessly

what strikes me the most about the game is that it feels like a living and breathing world. Its the tiny things that make that happen like the man who switces the streetlights off in the morning, people carrying crates into shops and schoolkids rushing to school when the bell rings.

The blackjack guy and the coin golf guy got to me the other day. So I killed them. Just wanted to share that.
