anyone know if car collecting is in this one? I've not come across it yet but it was pretty fun seeking out the rare cars and crossing their names off the big sign and getting a special car reward on Vice City.

Last night, while being chased by the three-star police, I found the building with the parashute. I leaped off (in a police motorbike ) and managed to land near the skate-park - an area I completely own - but on top of a near-by building. The police started to shoot at me from the floor but my gang came to the resque. I just watched from the roof as my gang the police, and finally another gang, had a massive gunfight in the skatepark.

I ended up dieing by leaping off the building though, which wasn't so great.

Anyone completed the bmx skatepark time trial, you have to go through a bunch of checkpoints, before your time runs out, its a hard course . Also anyone tried the bmx courier missions?

I made about 12k in 20 minuites doing the bmx courier missions, and when you finish the last level of missions I got given a convienience store which earns around 2k every 30 minuites, the only draw back being it can only hold a maximum of 2k, so you have to visit it regularly to make any real money.

..I STOLE A ****ING LEAR JET LAST NIGHT!

Flew up as high as I could before bailing out somewhere thousands of feet above Los Santos and parachuting back to Grove Street (well, a couple of blocks away, anyway). I then spent the next couple of hours maxing out Denise's happiness to 100% and rushed back home to try on the gift she gave me - a rather snazzy Pimp suit.

I really don't want to be here at work for the next 8hrs...

I really wanna put more time into this.. as i feel i have only just scratched the surface, only got asfar as the chase the train on the dirt bike mission..

God Damn work, and i was off all last week aswell

I've encountered what I would consider as the first real missed opportunity in this game. When I eventually arrived in San Fierro with the Truth, I took a wander around. I'd been really looking forward to boarding a cable car and taking a tour of the city or jacking one.

But I've followed one around for ages and they never seem to stop or allow you to board in any way.

Anyone managed to get on one?

No way you can get on top by landing a helicopter or sky diving? Or maybe jumping really high in a car?

I'll try it. The damn things move so fast it's hard to get on top of one. I did position a car in front and got on the bonnet and tried jumping on, but because the tracks go downhill and frequently turn corners, your car gets knocked out of the way easily.

On a side note, I did derail my first train last night though, which went flying off the track for hundreds of feet in the middle of the countryside. And then escaped before making mince meat out of a few passerbys with a combine harverster while listening to K-Rose.

Anyone else find taking over other gangs' territories very addictive? It can get seriously compelling trying to find the best area to start an assault from at the start, then backing off and trying not to get caught in the middle as wave two and wave three arrive.
I mostly end up doing these at night so it ends up feeling a bit like the film 'Assault on Precinct 13'. I got caught badly by the sunrise a few times though, coudn't see **** with the sun in my eyes.

Yeah the gang stuff is really good fun, though it is pretty tough. I nocticed last night that if your 'hood' is under attack you can just ignore the warning and it'll go away itself. I'm not sure how advisable this is though

Two more things:
It's possible to stand on top of a car and be taken around the map. It looks really stupid.

Also, how do you duel wield? I've learnt the skill on most weapons, but can't figure out how it's done. Bah!

If you don't go and defend your 'hood' then you'll lose respect from your 'homies'
