was something up with the revival pill as it's the only thing you can't put back into your backpack. I also didn't know that the fake death pill could be used to restard scenes if you screw them up.

You don't even have to do that. I was stuck on this too, and before getting to the end a second time, I delibarately drowned myself and revived near the start. I love the thinking behind this particular boss battle. Very 'Psycho Mantis' in approach with it's out-of-the-box approach to typical boss design.

Phew, thank god you don't have to walk all the way up that damn river. Nice looking sequence though it is (and quite funny as well - "Uhhhh! My neck!!"), it just goes on too damn long.

I remember seeing in the trailer Snake talking to the guard - Mr Sasaki - in the prison - is it possible to make this happen?

Anyway. Brilliant.

Superb and highly emotional ending. Anyone who thinks Kojima couldn't make a good film is insane. Interesting to see the seeds of bitterness planted in Snake's mind.

I was hoping for some light to be shed on Ocelot (aka Adamsk Shalashaska!!?), but it raised even more questions and added to the enigma. But it's still good, and Ocelot was a superbly cool character throughout. He called the guy at the end "MR DIRECTOR".... perhaps this is Solidus before he becomes President?

So much to talk about, but I can't be bothered right now - I want to start it again

I thought it was another post-modern head twist by Kojima as well, referring partly to himself. As was seeing the Boss' grave with "in loving memory of a patriot" at the end.

I prefer MGS2 (esp. the Substance edition) to Snake Eater as well. And I liked the way the Big Shell was a sun bleached, harsh environment.

when you eat the Solid/ Solidus/ Liquid snakes during the boss fight? I caught Liquid but never ate the git.

Well nearly finished it agin.. 3rd time through.. has anybody managed to get the sniper rifle off the end,

i stamina killed him last night but didnt get it.. though i did get the moss camo.. and the fire camo off the fear.
