****ing loved MGS2 and MGS ranks as my fav game of all time. But so far MGS3 has not lived up to my expectations, the stealth is all ****ed up. The open areas just dont work. When im in closed off areas i think the game is superb but the ****ing jungle is crap

i want to finish the game to experiece the superb story, but man, the gameplay is not as fun as the last 2 games.

Gah, have to selotape the anologue stick foward and probably watch match of the day. Stupid ****ing boss

Drown yourself. Use the revival pill. Simple as that.

The Sorrow sequence just requires you to think a little out of the box. After all The Sorrow is dead right? The only way to beat him or get on the same plane, is to also kill yourself, albeit metaphorically. Kojima wants you to pay for your sins... Hence during the sequence if you used the sniper rifle a lot and aimed for heads, you'll see loads of dead soldiers complaining about it.

The point of the sequence is for you to achieve death inside Snake's head so you can satisfy The Sorrow and be allowed to continue.

I thought it was pretty funny how all the ghosts of the guards were complaining about their deaths. Seeing them stagger towards you with blood spurting from their necks saying "God, my throat hurts!!" and whatnot.

ADAM is Ocelot and he works for the US. He double-crossed everyone involved and stole the Patriot cash, conning the conmen. I think EVA's story is meant to be true, but that she was tricked into stealing a fake disk.

Yeah I got that bit, what I meant was whether what EVA was saying about the Boss' defection all being a scam was true or not. Seems like exactly the sort of tale someone would make up if they wanted to turn someone against their government. Should have made myself clearer, sorry

The Boss ends up being the only honorable one in the whole thing. Even 'Snake' is a participant in the cover-up.

yeah i run my slim pal ps2 with my yank version of the game and swap magic.. works a treat..

Just got up to the intro proper, interesting way of telling the story and I'm really liking the cutscenes (thought they were awful in MGS2, but they are working pretty well here). The title screen is the most impressive I've seen since Metroid Prime too, great stuff.

Gameplay is still MGS, which I'm not a great fan of, but I'm finding this slightly easier than previous games in the series. I pretty much just ran through the first section, but hey ho
