Just finished the game a few hours ago after playing it on and off since I got it in January. Excellent game. Personally I loved every minute of it. At first I was disappointed to find that the story wouldn't be picking up where MGS2 left off, but having finished it I'm actually glad. Roll on MGS4.

For those who have had MGS3 for awhile, Do you think MGS3 is a bit overrated? I mean, I played it at first and thought "Best MGS game.avar" But slowly as I started playing it, my opinion started to change.....The beginning of the game and even to a degree quite far into the game its Really bores the hell outta me, The story is alright but mehish. Voice acting is average but not to the standards of mgs..... The gameplay ideas, although very good have not been really implemented, The Cure system is a gimmick. Would of been nice to see it effect actually gameplay (such as a broken leg preventing running and movement) and the food thing having mroe of a impact on the game apart from "oh noes my hands are shaking!!!!""
I Love MGS2

You get their camo.
Each of them have special skills:
The Pain - will not get hurt by leeches/ hornets. You can control the hornets.
Ocelot - no shakey aiming when low on stamina, pretty high camo in grassy areas.
The Fear - very high camo everywhere, though at the expense of stamina, since it will drain when wearing it.
The End - very high camo in the Sokrovenno region, and general high camo. Ability to regain stamina by photosynthesis...
The Fury - reduces fire damage.
The Sorrow - choking guards will regain your stamina, as well as your footsteps will not be heard.
Volgin - can't remember exactly what the skill for this was (never used it) but it had something to do with guards reluctantly wanting to shoot you.
Boss - generally high camo in most areas.

Finally finished it, enjoyed overall mainly for the cutscene's, the games detail for anything and everything and the story, but the view point really needs updating it so arsey having to stop and look to make sure and enemy guard is still facing the otherway. And CQC seems to had nothing new all outside 4 ways to deal with headlocked guard.
onthe to the story..
i loved the ending to it, and its little Metal Gear timeline, the grenin bit with the design's for next 2 Metal Gears had my smiling, as did the that gay officer pinching my ass. And Ocelot is clearly the star of the show
Also anyone think that Joy/Sorrow's son grows up to be Pyshico Mantis?
