    explain please. ta
Ahh, sorry, not tested! There's like 10 copies purchased from the store I got them, how many of those are going to be in Christmas stockings or flogged on Ebay? Gamestop is the next local, but while they may have had more than 10, it would seem nobody lives near me who has a DS

Tried the Pictochat thing, seems fun and very easy to use. You have 4 chat rooms, each holds upto 18 people. Again, nobody around.

Oh yeah, when you first power the DS, it asks for your Birthdate, time/date and name. In pictochat it uses your registered name, so that's your gamertag. Mario DS has a four player game yes.

(so if they're playing say wario ware and you're playing mario you can message them to play Mario instead?) I'm intrigued. Also whats the frame rate like on mario? same as N64, better, or worse?
I heard you get alerted to a nearby operating DS, I'll check my manual in the am.

Framerate is smooth, I'd say bout the same. There's a litle pop in the distance, something the original had.

Oh, and I've tried one of the new levels. Seems pretty tough, you need to use each individuals skill's to reach these stars. They added new musical scores for these levels too.

Just to ask before I bust my DS and Mario64 open and maybe try multiplayer... is it FULL multiplayer with just one DS cart, or do you get more if each player has a copy of the game (as usually happened with the GBA)?

Apparantly it is single-cart link only! Strange.

I thought single cart linkage was a feature that the DS was promoting heavily every multiplayer game is single cart as far as i know. That means Mario cartridge x1 DSx4 play away correct me if i'm wrong.

Well Asphalt is multicart only by the looks of it... maybe the amount of traffic is too much to transfer to other units?

What are peoples prefered control method.

Also is it easy to hold the unit without having it set on a table or something.

Very easy to hold the unit.

For me I'm using the thumb strap (for Mario) and the buttons on the right hand side to jump etc. I was on the d-pad and having to hold down a button to run, work's in places I guess. I mix n' match. It offers you different control method's, you'll find one that suit's you best. Thumb strap is working really well now though.

                              I'd second that.

Seeing as how loads of people have thir DS's now (I'm talkin to YOU Ginza! ) I thought the first play thread would be awash with posts!?

Come on people, get your arses in gear and give us your opinions!?

See. Ive actually spent more time writing about the DS rather than playing it. I played the Metroid Prime Hunters demo last night but other than that iv been taking pictures of it, writing about it and not playing it!

Heres my latest blog update devoted to the DS
