... or even screen covers. I actually have a cool little clip-on screen cover for my GBA that goes over the screen when not in use (clips into the little holes on the top where the GBA wireless adaptor now goes), which were 2 quid from Game. As a result, my old GBA is in near perfect nick! Shame none seem to be around for the PSP... adds an extra layer of protection.

I did hear they were giving it away with Famitsu PSP, but I've yet to see anything to suggest that even exists...

I take it this memory card will work in the PSP

Yeah, that's where I (and a load of others) bought their cards from.

For anyone who is interested I put on a be art PSP Screen Protector today, and, it is a double edged sword.

The good news is that it feels completely safe, i now no longer worry about scratches at all as it is made of a thick layer of transparant plastic that wipes clean very easily and it comes with its own cloth. Application is similarily easy as it has a soft credit card to squeeze out any air pockets. It stops me worrying about the tiny scratches that come from the soft cases as well as the bigger ones that may occur.

The bads news is that it does take away some of the wow factor of the screen clarity, it is most noticeable on pure backgrounds such as a game's white PSP startup screen but in game it is much less noticeable. You will need a steady hand to apply it straight and avoid any figerprints to the underside of the sticker. Also it would be best to make sure the screen is completely clean before hand or it will obv show up dust trapped underneath the plastic.

It says that it prevents reflection and glare to make outdoor playing easier, I can't comment yet as it has been a dreary day!

All in all I think it is a good product that gives peace of mind without sacrificing too much in terms of screen quality.

Thats the one that I'm using, have had it on mine since the PSP first left it's box. Most people I've shown it to were all shocked there was a screen protector on there since they couldn't notice it.

Yeah that was my thinking, which is why I didn't order one with my machine.

Course, I regret it now, every time I see the smudges and marks on my screen, that seem to never disappear... there must be invisible layer of oil over the screen or something... any cleaning just seems to move the smudges around!

Screen protector due tomorrow... gonna give the thing a good clean as best I can, then the protector is staying on for good! Screw screen clarity, I need my peace of mind.

I got my LCD cleaner from www.sonystyle.co.uk but they don't seem to list it anymore which is a pity as its great stuff.

I'm using the hori protectors and I don't think it has any impact on screen brightness - comparing it to one without it you'd be hard pressed to tell which had the protector on.

The screen and graphics really do beggar belief, they are so far ahead of any handheld that's gone before.

Usually there's at least a one or two generation gap between handheld and console, now there's no gap at all!

Well that's the good but there's also some not so good.

Everyone I know that's got one, including me, has at least one dead pixel. Now these are really tiny and can't usually be noticed at all when playing a game, but they are there nonetheless. If you've got none then congratulations.

The Value Pack really isn't very good value, you're far better off getting at least a 128mb memory card and some decent headphones with the cash you'll save from buying the Standard Pack. The wrist strap is the wrong colour and the PSP bag is too small with nowhere to put any accessories, not even a memory card.

Shoulder buttons feel rather flimsy and I doubt they'll last long if put under constant pressure.

These are really minor problems though, the games are incredible and stick on some decent headphones and you've got the nearest thing to a portable Holo-Deck this side of Star Trek.

Astonishing screen. That'll surely make this a winner if you can only have one for most people. Haven't got to grips with how to hold it comfortably yet. The analogue trigger for Ridge Racer works well with a nice degree of opposite lock control, but keeping my thumb in that position seemed really odd. In fact the natural resting place for my thumbs was over the screen.
