hmm maybe it was a good idea having an early system as the samsung screen doesnt look as clear ( try reading the exit signs, i rekon the sharp looks more legible) , plus the samsung has a blue "hue"

I read somewhere that only PSPs made in Japan, i.e. the launch period batch, will have the amazing Sharp screens which feature technology similar to the newest 'ASV' screens used in Sharp Aquos displays. Supposedly later models and the models for EU/US being made outside of Japan with the Samsung screens which are said to be of your usual decent PDA TFT quality rather than blow-your-socks-off Sharp PSP screen.
I'm pretty sure I read on Eurogamer or Gamesindustry that Sony had taken both Sharp and Samsung onboard for PSP. If this is confirmed, I suppose it offers some unexpected comfort for those that paid over the odds to get an initial unit - a Rolls Royce PSP!

Anybody care to point me to where i can get a USB cable for it, the one i had with a digicam looked identical but the plug was ever so slightly different on the PSP (the inside 'connector' was to big to fit). also a good site for a 512mb card would be great to.
im itching to get some movies on it but dont know where to find the above
As for the screens, its difficult to say until we see the samsung models in the flesh - anybody could of made that picture comparison :PLast edited by Pirotic; 05-01-2005, 20:32.

Sony announced that they have signed to use Samsung as a screen manufacturer also. However I very much doubt that will have any impact on the screen quality. One of the most eye catching features is the screen if they screw with that it will be bad news, very bad news.
FWIW Samsung and Sharp are probably as good as each other at making screens.

Good idea Neil, are the discs held firmly in the middle with no rattling?
Also, has anyone actually managed to fit a screen protector properly? Mine was already covered in dust and fibres before I even had a chance to put it on the PSP. I've tried to wash it and dry it by suspending it over a radiator but it's completely manky and ruined. I don't know if I'm going to bother ordering another one as I suspect it's impossible to fit it perfectly.
