Dante Must Die will break players.

They haven't invented a word which describes the difficulty of that particular mode yet.

Imagine the hike from Hard to DMD is unreal!! Normal to Hard is barely noticeable.

Cant wait to see how hard I need to work on DMD to get out of the lab

What mission you on in DMD Bleeders?

          The second one.

By the time, I've cleared the area of baddies, the Vanguard swipes me away far too easily for my liking; everything is that much faster and does a heck of a lot more damage.

Feelin it - initially I had some trouble judging distances (coming up short on dash attacks, not landing on downed enemies) and working the areas so I had the best possible view but now its totally VJ in 3D (or should that be VJ is totally Dante in 2D ). Discovering the library of moves helped and looking over some of Saurs vids - just as I'm mastering meths, new techniques get thrown at me to put into the mix >_<

The sick thing is I'm hardly any way into this game at all, just been playing sections over and over and over. That first room was destroyed so many times working on my Devil Ranking, my mate came back from the pub and was like "You still in that room???"...he then sat down and watched and was like "how you doing that" Gonna be playing this for a very very long time.

Out of interest was this game made by the same team that did the 2nd game or the 1st game or was it a combination of people from both production studio 1 and 4.

Tsuyoshi Tanaka was the producer right and there was no involvement from Shinji Mikami either?

Made by the DMC2 team. DMC4, however, will be handed back to the DMC1 team. No involvement from Mikami as far as I know, he was busy with RE4.

Is this confirmed? It was weird enough that they changed the dev team for DMC2 after such a good job was done with the 1st game but now their gonna change teams again after DMC3 turned out amazing.

wow this games amazing! Just got up to the last boss and he kicked my ass! Gonna beat his ass up later.

Now both teams have made a good game they should combine forces.

                    Edit

Just finished it, wow what a game now to move on to the harder lvls.

holy moly! this is another game that's been so massively overhyped and overrated! i played the US version up to level 5 and i'm already beginning to loose any will and interest to go further in it.

the game has awful charcater design - young Dante is an arrogant, unpleasant bigmouth and the cutscene scripting is so bad i can't even laugh at them.

the music is a mix of gothic themes and horrible punk rock, also very repititive. setpieces are - so far - unimaginative and miles behind the first DMC game.

technically it's just an above average PS2 titel and far from outstanding. especially the low-res textures are extremly offputting. on top, the game is frustratingly difficult. there's no blocking moves and the controls are inaccurate.

maybe i've been playing too much Resindent Evil 4 and God of War in recent times, but i really can't see myself falling in love with Dante again any time soon!

                        Is it kicking your arse?

I can't be arsed to highlight the other points in your post, but if you bothered to delve a little deeper, you would find that the Royalguard style allows you to both, block and parry moves.

Lol... was listening to your views right up until... "It is frustratingly difficult", IMO your inability to get to grips with the game has caused you to right a scathing post. As Bleeders says above there is a style that offers the block ability, but I guess you didnt delve deep enough into the menu screens to see that.

And as for "controls are inaccurate", Dante will do EXACTLY what you make him do, if you miss an enemy or get caught it is because your timing or move choice is wrong, not the fault of the game.

Understand if it is too hard for you then it aint your type of game, but dont blame the controls on your lack of ability!!

If you have time to make an informed decision on the map textures then you obviously aint paying attention to what matters... Dante.... this is HIS game... not the ****ing walls around him!!

All level and character design is spot on IMO, young Dante kick ass. He compliments the more relaxed Dante of DMC1 and we see a slow progression of him into this personality as the game moves forward. There are so many standout moments and boss fights that there is enough in there to make 2 amazing DMC games. The quality and diversity of the enemies on offer is the best any game has offered.

Am away back to my Dante Must Die game to remind myself how good Dante can look when bustin heads... all the bestwith mission 5 Uli, hope you see the light with DMC3

PS. Ui, were you a fan of DMC2?

                            Oh, you weren't joking...

DMC3 has the most complicated and rewarding combat system I've ever played. With 6 styles to learn and 4 switchable weapons to cycle through mid fight I can see why you would get frustrated, but with practice you CAN master everything. Manz have run out the clock on this game and still slashing through layers of depth, finding new combinations of attacks to destroy the bosses with.

The cut scenes are some of the best yet, cool and funny at the same time and the perfect length. Also mixing in the level number was a genius move.

I'm looking forward to what God of War has to offer, its been getting good reviews but whether its has Dantes style and personality I've yet to see...

God of Was is also on my wanted list... more of an adventure based game I believe with a nice combat system to boot. Doubt it have the depth and appeal of Dantes mad skillz but should be worth a look.

Once a DMC player gets to Dante Must die mode and makes comments on difficulty then we will pay attention... level 5 on normal possibly easy??? COME ON!!

For the record Dante Must Die mode has broken me on Mission 2 at the moment. Fully intend on going back and beating the bitch but for now it has bent over a table

I still haven't finished this but I'm back into it now. I finished mission 15 last night so I'm close to the end.

Still love the game though I need a bit of practise before I get any further though...I got my ass handed to me during mission 15 ft:
