Blud I havent got anywhere near as far as I want to get with DMC3 yet and they drop 4 on us!??! - I dont even want to think about it!

That's what's scaring me about the supposedly upcoming PSP version, that analogue thing the PSP has is so damn clumsy and stiff. I dont mean to sound negative but that banana controller is not what I'd prefer to play on - but then I cant see the new PS3 being incompatible with Playstation Dual Shock 2s, I bet Lik-Sang will have every manner of input device convertor available from day 1 if it doesnt do it as standard - all your sticks and pads will still be cool.

Can you parry using any style? Or is it specific?

Royal Guard is the only style with a block button that allows you to parry. In swordmaster, you can kinda parry/block with the "Freeze" tactic. Check out earlier posts for more info.

This guy should indeed get out more!

SS in all missions and modes:

Congrat text when SS ranked the DMD! mode:

"Man, you need to get out more!"

Here are a couple of more:

S DMD!: "Wow, you have big demon balls!"
SS Hard: "You know how to make me look good!"
SS Normal: "You're almost a true devil hunter!"

Playing through Hard with Royalguard (now fully levelled up) and man its a bitch trying to get the perfect parry down. I can pwn the spiders pretty hard with it but not getting Gold at all >_<

Been bussin the FREEZE block tactic from time to time and really getting into Cerebus. Basically its all about splitting open those spiders Their attacks are so blatantly signposted they never stand a chance. Still loving this game!

Practice against Beowulf and Vergil(any) and you'll see the improvement in your parrying.

Nice one. I love that fight! It really does help to improve your skills.

Probably time I used up some continues so I can have a few goes at him - must resist killing him off until I've got some skills down. Tried that with Vergil but he pissed me off and that was it - straight slaughtered him in anger and don't have the time to play through the whole build up to him over and over >_< Should have just dropped the pad and continued...

I had lent my copy of Dante to a mate for a while and was up at his last night, having not played DMC3 for a few weeks. He was stuck on Beowulf so asked me to leather him for him... well... it was like playing it again for the first time, except this time I was ripping up the screen... my mates could not believe what they were seeing... it was beautiful... I flowed through the Mission and beat Beowulf first time... got suckered a few times due to me forgetting his patterns on a couple of occasions, but was pretty good!!

I busted some lovely SSStylsih **** on him and the rest of the mission... am now going to go back throug the game to S every level.

My mates had played and seen Dante in action before but last night he was truly re-awakened there is no limit to the enjoyment DMC3 offers!!

I have now spent hours on mission 11 (normal) instead of finishing the last few levels left to complete hard mode.

I can do it! I can now make Beowulf my bitch...and I'm rubbish at videogames. I can kill him with out taking a single hit and parrying everything he throws at me (apart from the 'I will kill you!' move, I just run out the way.
I can parry his three-fist attack, all his stomps and that too cool double parry when you blind him.... and the 'crush' move. All are easy with a little practise. I spent hours parrying his blocks and not attacking him so not to kill him and start the level over again. I just let him kill me and start again right before the boss battle.
I also showed a mate my newfound Beowulf pwnage skills.... I don't understand why people find this game hard...its not, it just requires a little patience and practise.

The thing is, without patience and practice DMC3 will be hard. It aint a butter you up, smiles and kisses game. If you aint got the stones it will continuously chew you up and spit you out.

Not enough games are made like this so it is a breath of fresh air when one as challenging and fun as DMC3 does appear.

Finished on both Normal and Hard and am ready for another boss pwng run through. I aint leaving a Mission until the boss has been totally schooled by my skillz

Also... to progress on Dante Must die mode an insane level of patience and skill is is required. You think you are good at it then you fire this muther ****er up... all new levels of difficulty present themselves.... fantastic stuff!!

I think DMC3 is harder than DMC1 at first but gets easier faster. I found DMC1's hard mode to be alot tougher than DMC3's.
