Still need to clear some HD space first. Will get one made soon!
Make sure that you pull off Revolver at the edge of the inner circle otherwise the fireball won't get deflected all the way back to him. Boosts your style gauge to Blast!, Alright!

Organised my Dantology library last night reviewing most of the vids. Some of it seems really old now considering the quality that is being produced but there were some classics, Saurs mates 'Jedi Jump'... gotta love that!!

Here's another one for Geryon (Arena) , DMD mode:

                Use Swordmaster, Beowulf and Rebellion.
When the fight starts pull off Killer Bee as sson as Geryon starts to rush at you. If the Killer Bee connects, Geryon will be on the floor! Don't attack him. Instead double jump away cos he'll activate his Timeslip move(slows down Dante). He'll then swing around along with his cart and will be vulnerable afterwards. Killer Bee into him and pull off Real Impact and continuosly press O to bring him down again! Rinse and repeat. He can't do anything and this is on DMD!!!

I am still a relative beginner while i can chain attacks together and swap weapons the techniques here are very advanced anyone got any tips for using the nevan weapon .I love the jamming session move i find it usefull (i also use it against cerberus )

Yeah that Nevan fast pick thing is great for the bit where you're going up the elevator with the reapers dropping in... they don't even have a chance to move!

P.S. I've also got a Nevan question, at the end of one of the moves Dante slings the guitar behind his head and has a bit of a noodle (lasts 1 second or so).. I always get the feeling this should be extendable in some way - is it?

Check pages 70 and 71 of this thread, there's a bit about Nevan there and a few videos on Nevan play.

The basic rule of combos is that special moves of one weapon cancel straight into special moves of your other equipped weapon, Nevan is not effective on it's own - you need another weapon as it's "base". Same weapon moves dont cancel into same weapon moves instantly - unless you use frame cancelling tricks like G-cancel as per Royal Guard style or Enemy Step Cancel (all styles). So while you're learning that stuff have something like Rebellion equipped for padding and setups.

P.S. I've also got a Nevan question, at the end of one of the moves Dante slings the guitar behind his head and has a bit of a noodle (lasts 1 second or so).. I always get the feeling this should be extendable in some way - is it?
Nevan is a charge weapon - it's moves will charge up (hold) if you hold the attack button. The wicked thing about Nevan is that the bats you summon by charging will make you invincible to projectiles and certain physical attacks too. You can charge another load while the current one does it's thing for example:

                      1. Bring Nevan to ready position, hold attack to play it. This will charge one set of bats around you -

                      2. Uppercut + hold attack, charges a 2nd set - first set releases.

                      3. Jump backwards and charge again, charges 3rd set and 2nd set releases.

                      4. On landing lock-on, forward + attack to perform it's version of Stinger which combines with the bats currently charged from the air for added mess.

Nevan was my favourite weapon until I discovered the heavenly joy that is Enemy Step Cancel - now everything has changed, it's like having a new game!

                        5. Cancel the Stinger into Jam Session for crowd control or Feedback (if using Swordmaster) - Crazy Roll (press o rapidly) for good damage and style points.

Thanks to Scarface posting that vid! Swordmaster is just one big crazy party after learning the foundation of those techniques, I still cant bring the all out war like that godly brer yet - but it's coming!

I've just started playing it again. I'm going for a new style (Swordmaster) and learning the weapons I haven't learnt yet. So atm I'm trying to use Nevan. I like it so far (a lot) but it's amazing how intuitive it is to learn. I'm already linking it into combos. I always use the second mission to practise anything new:

First go - got slapped around a bit and ended up with a C rank. There is NO way I'm accepting that so I restart immediately.
Second go - finished it with almost twice as many points, only got hit twice...B rank
Third go - finished it with more points than before, even quicker, no hits...A rank

Show me another game that has such a visible and clear learning curve

Fantastic video, Saurian...as always Just when I see something and think "I know how he did that", you add another 10 seconds to the routine that leaves me stunned

I can fill in those two gaps, I've just done them:

Mission 14 is the 'go-up-the-tower' one, and mission 15 is the 'revolve-the-tower' one. Not a fan of either.. lots of spider fights in mission 15 though so I'm sure Saurian likes it ^^
