Cheers lads, this thread is swaying me. Mardigan8 you mentioned time attack, how is that implemented into the game? I imagine it affect's your final rank for a mission but I just wanna be sure. Cos if you can get time attack records for each mission I'm there. oh yeah and has anybody on here managed to SS all missions, maybe saurian?

Got mostly S and SS on Normal and Hard. Working on getting SS on DMD missions now.

It forms part of your mission rank along with Style points, orbs collected, damage taken and items used. Do better in each of these and your rank improves. The time attack thiing works really well with most of the boss missions (Vergil ones especially).

Venom killed the final boss in 59 seconds without taking a hit. Get near that and you be doing good. My best is 94 seconds without taking a hit and that is pretty good but is still well off the pace. The amount of replay we have had out of this is NOT RIGHT.

Just went into my little brothers room to get back my ps2 and discovered DMC3 sitting on the shelf, the little bastard borrowed it off my cousin without telling me. Nice eh.

Made a new vid of Gigapede on DMD using Swordmaster,E&I, Cerberus and A&R:

Check out the meth! Dead in 90 seconds...

Dante been rested recently for GOW, but got him fired up again last night. Took a few waves of enemies to get myself sorted and into the frame again but it was like playing a new game. The absence refreshed me and made me try new things...

The infinite A&R aerial slashes, mixed in with some Rebellion Aerial rave was the best I could muster. That enemy step routine is great, really opens up some great stuff and gets the style bar jumping!! Wasn't able to bus it indefinitly yet but with practice it will come. Revolver repeat is tricky to, managing 2 repeats then either missing step or missing enemy with attack, its a tricky one.

Switching to Rebellion during the infinite aerial A&R worked really well, some MAD speed on the buttons and lose an extra wee bit of height on the descent during change but it looks fantastic. A&R uppercut into A&R slashes, switch to Rebellion Air rave, enemy step, switch back for infinite A&R slashes. The last part is where am having the trouble, either cause of the height of Dante or me missing the second enemy step. Finishing the routine after the second set of A&R slashes works pretty well as an alternative though

Rebellions air rave brings Dante down with every hit restricting the number of enemy step cancels you can do. Try A&R and Beowulf for some really good enemy step combinations.

A&R infinite slashes, Hammer, Killer Bee, and Volcano to finish!

Yeah, it aint as useful as A&R for the infintie air slashes but if used once and as part of a shorter routine, finishing on the second A&R slashes then hammering down to ground it works well.

The killer bee repeat is another great one. Am gonna look at A&R/Beowulf air time tonight so will give the above a go. Saur had a great Reb/Beo air routine posted a while back which I nailed.... Beo uppercut Tornado into quick E&I, follow up with Reb aerial rave, Hammer and finish with Volcano. Flows really quick and aint really long air time but it is devastating when nailed.

So many routines in there it aint right, just depends what mood you in

Gonna check the new DMD vids later Venom. Got the Mission 2 boss sorted on DMD but the rest I have fought so far have pissed over all over me a few times before I make a dent. More speed and planning required

Are you guys using the default controls?

I changed them so they are a bit more like DMC1 US controls.. x Jump, [] Gun, /\ Style and O for Sword....i think these RG frame cancelling moves would prob be easier to pull off with the default controls...useing /\ as the primary attack seemed a little unnatural to me..with default i would be really easy to just slid to thumb over O with the tip on /\...i guess i might have to relearn every thing.

I used to have the same problem with the shoulder buttons so I opened the joypad and found that the rubber padding beneath the buttons were out of place. Works fine now.
