Dmc3 has so much depth its scary.Started to get S ranks on dmd but when i change styles feels like i am starting from scratch and having to relearn
You should be aiming for SS not S ranks!
By that I mean taking no damage!

I can finish him in around 40 seconds now, best being 45! I don't give him a chance to DT or go berserk thanks to short jump Killer Bees!!!

I'm only using one DT and one Release before he goes berserk. Watch the vid and learn how to do short jump Killer Bees!8)

Will check out the vid when get up the road. Taking him down before he goes full DT is horrible. You pissin all over Capcoms intricate boss design, hahahaha. I now need to half my current time to get close, that should be fun

Originally posted by venom743When I say short jump Killer Bees I don't mean Enemy Step Killer Bees. Cancel Dante's jump before it reaches it's peak with a Killer Bee.gotcha!! That the bit where I could really shave some time, when he goes DT and you gotta Killer Bee / Stinger him to get him out. Taking a few hits to get my DT up for a second release is getting opened up tonight, should make a considerable difference... weird theory but shows the level we are getting to in the game... LET the boss hit you, hehehe.

Originally posted by venom743Mate, another way to build up your Release and DT gauge real quick is to parry his helm breakers in berserk mode. So use your DT and Release right before he says "You're going down". You should have a full release and Dt when he finishes. Getting hit to build your gauge isn't very wise as if you manage to misparry the following hits, your time will be screwed.

Originally posted by Mardigan8Am thinkin a full string where he comes from above then hits you another 2/3 times gets the DT gauge right up and takes around 4 seconds, worth a try but no doubt the Helm Breaker parry is the answer... timing gotta be spot on to parry them all though, aint tried that yet. When he goes full DT I been doing repeated to shroty jumps to avoid all his hits then get back on his case. Having a full DT waiting for him coming back to Human form would be perfect, either way!!
Made another vid to help you out!
Another Vergil3 vid(normal). Wasn't planning on a speed run so decided to let him go berserk, but still managed to kill him in 50 seconds! This vid shows how I parry and JR through his orbs as well as how I parry his helm breakers(similar to the DMD vid).
