And there aint nothing sweeter than nailing them with that, its a work of art. Finding Trickster most useful for my DMD progression, plus it is the only style I have yet to max out. 20,000 off getting it totalled!!

Without doubt the worst thing about DMD is the things that fire the spiked projectiles... far too frequently the appear and are way overpowered... hate them, hate them, HATE THEM!! Especially when my Kalina Ann to knock them down has no effect on them, aaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! And when they DT......
      F@?# $($NYM* &%IK^Y?, AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

You mean the trple-bowed archers that fire red arrows??? Nevan is the answer! Jump into a barrage off arrows with triangle held down and you'll not only be totally unscathed but you're style gauge will shoot up to 'stylish'.

You mean Enigmas? The ones that have one eye and fire blue and red(DMD) projectiles?
If so use Nevan and Air Play (Hold down Triangle). The bats get rid of the projectiles and cause damage to the Enigmas, plus, your style gauge shoots up to SSS!
If you have a group of them use Nevan's Combo 2 each time they fire their projectiles. You can also cancel into Jam Session but it's not as effective as repeating combo 2.

One more thing, when performing a Release or a Just Release make sure you have Beowulf equipped. It does more damage. Also, try to DT at the same time as performing a Just Release to do more damage.

Unfortunately, Nevan has been a total non starter for me so would have to re-invent my whole style to suit her. Sometimes I take them all out really fast but other times when they nail me and DT its a ****ing nightmare!!

No other enemy is giving my huge problems but these ****ers seem to want my head on a stick.

Getting deeper and deeper into DMD feels great though. It really is a crazy place!! One lapse in concentration and its goodnight Vienna!!

Looks like I have to be sorting out some Nevan then if I wanting to get the good **** down on the Enigmas.

Beowulf has always done me proud against them in the past. Whirlwind uppercut being a personal favourite when they down.

Oh, and Darwock and at about the exact same point as you in DMD, Mission 5... Hard mode boss replays have consumed my DMD progression for the last few weeks but its back into suicidal mode with Dante!!

Then I can understand your enigma frustration. That bloody room with the cage and the soul of steel... even Nevan struggles to keep the arrows off in there.

Nevan is all you need for Enigmas.8)

Check the meth in this short clip:

Oh, that ****ing room... I gotta do a full release on the 3 as you enter it to get me started, its the only way!! Then its bouncing around till the rest of them gone!! They really the only ones causing me grief just now... they need to be taken care of ASAP when they on the scene.

Even harder when you just pick up the Soul and they all appear.. that where I finished my game last night... stapled to the floor

Am still finding new moves... like Rebellion charge attack where it glows red and crackles... only cracked that open last week, its mental, put 50+ hours into the game and only now finding some **** out!!

                        Nevan is DA ****!!!

I'm going deep into that weapon as I'm writing a feature on Swordmaster - Enigmas dont stand a chance against Nevan!

The bats which you summon through playing the guitar will guard you against light attacks (such as slashes from any of the 7 Hells), and provide perfect defense against the projectiles the Enigmas fire.

Nevan Combo 2 (Tune-up + left + hold attack) is extremely effective against Enigmas, not only do you block the projectiles with the bats - you actually fire the energy back at them giving you a near instant SSStylish rank!

There are many fast ways to get into Stance (Tune-up) with Nevan, in Swordmaster; the Style button double slash goes straight into Stance, Reverb Shock goes straight into Stance aswell and the bats it summons as you dash forwards will guard against projectiles too! Reverb Shock is unlike other attacks Dante has - it doesnt follow the rule that same-weapon into same-weapon Special move chaining causes a delay; it goes STRAIGHT INTO any other Nevan Special or Super move!

Use Short Jumps (same timing as the Short Jump Killer Bee you would have seen Venom perform against Vergil) + Air Play to charge a few bats around you during ground based combos. When under attack from Enigmas as you batter other enemies it's worth keeping bats charged constantly.

Any move where you can store bats will protect against Enigmas - it's great fun! Also if you use Devil Trigger while Nevan is equipped you gain life back much quicker ^^

If you're one on one with an Enigma use Air Play to get rid of the projectiles, switch to Beowulf and pull off a Real Impact, keep pressing O to do the kicks at the end. This move KILLS Enigmas quickly even during DT.

That video of A&R really did the trick - was able to pull off the jumping parry that Saur talked about in his guide, after seeing it used on A&Rs rush attacks. With those moves blocked along with their basic swings, fighting them was a joy... took me 1hr 18 mins to beat the mission but I loved every second

You use a lot of continues on them Darwock?? I rattled a good few into them trying to work out there new patterns and getting the parrry timings down. Unfortunately, I had to go out so couldn't get them finished off.

Sorted a different technique for the Enigmas... get in close and just parry every one of there spikes... the style bar loves it and the look on there face, hehehe.

Also revisited some of the bosses on normal and Hard... Mission boss in one hit, with perfect timeing of both RG and DT release... brilliant. And Vergil3 down to 88 seconds... still need to half that time to get near your **** Venom but getting there.

Had him down to a state where another DT release would have finished off before "Your going down" but didnt realise I had it to charge up... real misssed opportunity as the timing for that would have been crazy!!

Yep, dozens of them lol. It felt a lot different approaching it as if I was just learning their moves, it's a lot less frustrating starting over and over if you keep that in mind.
