Finished off Vergil 1 last night, must be improving as I can't normally do a boss the same evening I first meet them, heheh! Major MAJOR slowdown experienced on the way there though, in the room where you fight the first of the 'magic pot' reapers - with them chucking out their ark of the covenant ****, me flinging Nevan bats all over the place, and everyone busting devil trigger.. it slowed to a crawl for a moment.

Been hearing some boys talking about rebirths when playing DMC3... are these like the resurrection orbs from previous DMC games where you start again immenditaley from where you die?? If so, I take it these are only in the Jap version??
Good god, how handy they would be in some of the DMD situations, especially for practising on bosses... ****en PAL ****E!!

Why do the change the system so drastically between Jap and PAL? The Jap system allows much more freedom to practice on bosses and if need be pull a vital rebirth out the hat at the crucial moment... they stripped it right down for PAL, with only continues available AND you have to buy them... weird move!!
Looks like am gonna have to use most of massive orb collection to fund this DMD adventure... the financial backing is in place, Dante is ready to go, hehehe.

The western changes for this game REALLY wind me i got the Japanese version and have recomended the game to some of my friends who only buy PAL and i find the continue system to be totally wrong for the game, it is a repeat play and practise game...you should not be punished for dying....in the Jap version it's more like "try that again...only better" rather than "you suck...get out my house!"

Dont get me wrong nothing can put a dampener on the game when it is in flow but the PAL version just doesn't give you as much freedom for boss and mission practising... its alright on Normal and Hard when I aint getting killed but on DMD it gets frustrating... even Dante is getting annoyed with it... the boy just wants to get in there and PWN
Went back last night and took out a few bosses on Normal to get my orbs and fun level up... Vanguard one hit, Vergil in a PB time... the gameplay is absolutely flawless, closest thing to perfection this generation IMO... but why oh why the different continue systems Capcom.
Enough about the system though... its sucks... A&R infinte mixed in with some Air Cerberus then switch back to A&R aerial slashes to finish... I wooped and hollered every time I pulled it off... I love my DMC3 game!!

Yeah, I gave up on RG for it and went back to my trusted swordmaster, was a piece of cake really with that. I feel like I've let myself down though :-(
Now it's Nevan. Parry hell. I can block both hits from the 'now you'll become tired' move from standing, but the rest of her **** I'm having to just dodge. I did once parry every single bat swarm she sent at me (6 hits or so?) which I was very proud of but it's too random to rely on. Dodging all the way. I've not taken her far enough to see the electric floor or ropes of lightning moves yet though.

Does anyone have a note of where all the combat adjudicators are? (tricky I know since they vanish once you beat them...)
I have found 2 hidden away since I started DMD - one on mission 3 and one inside Leviathan and I'm now at 2/4 fragments until I max out the life bar completely. I'm guessing there's 2 more I've missed somewhere.

I just bought Japanese Devil May Cry 3, and so far.. WOW! What a game. Like everyone has been saying, its like DMC1 on speed or something, and you can totally forget the existence of #2. This is proper **** right here..
I just had a boss fight in an Ice Cavern. Excuse my ignorance for not knowing the dudes name, but it was a rather big dog! I refused to refil my health guage during the battle, and had a good 25 minute session with him over about 10 lives or so. Trying different techniques. I switched to Sword Master for this mission too, I kinda like my swords in DMC. On my last battle with Mr Woofy (where I beat him), I TOTALLY OWNED HIM. I manged to get his body parts unfrozen, then went to work on his heads. I cut them clean off!! Unbelivable. Hadn't seen them go before. I managed to really piss him off in a previous continue too, it was well funny. It was as if he thought "**** this, I am going down the pub. You Die. Now, Mr Dante"
I loved that boss fight, and could honest play it for hours, it was FAIR. Something DMC2 lacked was fair bosses, just big frikking tanks etc. Gh3y.
I now have a cool 3 point ice weapon which looks like it might dish out some nice damage
Loving this SO much, its fooking ace!
