I really like the game so far, the story mode is good fun

Not so keen though on the arcade mode as the maps are quite big so I have to rely on the bots spawning near me and not running in the opposite direction to stand a chance at gold And why is the text so small?

Only minor complaints really Looking forward to some multiplayer at the weekend.

The multiplayer seems to be behaving itself at the moment, but I still wish they would patch it up, I dont want it to be gathering dust for 6 months

And yes the text is too small, I have to be 5 inches from my screen on a big TV

        BOLLOCKS TO YA EA!

played the game this morning, all running fine and eventually the same problems occur. Gonna go take my copy back for a exchange for Splinter Cell 3. The single player is good, but its not what i bought the game for.

I'm finding Story mode rather boring, but I love the Arcade/Challenge modes though. Some of them are way too hard though, I have no idea how to get a gold on the first Zones arcade challenge.

It isn't a website but the latest issue of NGC magazine (or at least I think it's the latest issue - it has the TSFP review in it) has a step-by-step guide on how to build one of the Goldeneye maps. I haven't got it with me at the moment though so I'm afraid I can't be more specific.

ok i purchased this friday and played it a fair bit that evening, i don't dig this game...
it just seems to be lacking something whether it's too smooth, too fast and lacking an all important jump button i can't put my finger on it. something just feels wrong, i think my mate said it best "it's just a case of getting the biggest gun and holding down the trigger", it's nothing like halo2 where the weapons are actually well balanced. you've got a chance to take out the person with a rocket launcher with almost every weapon, not here.

i'm not gonna say anything more, i just didn't like it (i wanted to)

someone should start a map building masterclass thread, giving guides on how to build all the best maps.

                      04.11.05 Patch News!

Here is the much awaited XBox patch update news. I want to thank everyone again for all of their feedback on the game. Without your support and input, we couldn't have gotten such a robust patch.

We don't have a final date for the patch release but expect it in 3 - 4 weeks. Again, there is no set date and the patch is going through Microsoft testing so it could be longer. I will update everyone as the patch nears launch. Again, this is an XBox only patch. There will still be server-side changes for both PS2 and XBox as issues come up.

i felt halo 2's guns were very average, ts3 has a great range of wepons, i would rate the game 93% whereas halo2 would get 82%, and i dont play online
