This sounds like fun, will probably be on tomorrow.

can anybody tell me if the co-op moves i.e climbing up body's,pulling people over ledge's are available in versus mode? my mate who's got the game seem's pretty sure there not,but i swear i've heard and seen from trailer's that prove they are.

Started campaign and Co-op campaign last night. Done the Lighthouse... great fun. The CQC moves with the knife are great. Feels a lot like MGS CQC but not as complex!! The knife is officially the best addition to Splinter Cell campaign is gonna be great fun!!

Done first couple co-op missions with Yoshimax and when it works it is fantastic!! Great co-op moves, covering each other, working as a team and communicating constantly to take out guards simultaneously... lots of fun!! Can see this being the next big thing on live between the co-op and the other game types on live.

Loving it so far and evetything feels and looks nice. Sam Fisher is back with a very big bang

how does the pionts/ranking system work as the scpt points system was diabolical

shame because i believed it to be the best multiplayer game ever.

The PC version is pretty good. The Mouse and Keyboard combo is a little clumsy at times, but really, I guess a lot of serious PC gamers will have pads anyway. All the controls are fully customisable, so you should be able to set it up identically to the Xbox version anyway, if you so wish.

Other than that, had a quick go at the Versus mode earlier, and it runs like a dream, apart from Americans shouting at me for not knowing where everything is already.

Co-Op seems fun, but is desperately laggy at times. Not sure if Xbox live is any better, but if it is and you want to play co-op lots, that might be the best option. It runs fine for a little while, and then lags horribly, often without rhyme or reason. I don't get it. There's a suggestion on the official SC forums that Co-op will only run as well as the worst computer in it. Not sure whether to put any faith in that, though.

Need to get a headset, but all in all, it seems fantastic. Not as hard as the previous Splinter Cell's, but in many ways, that's not such a bad thing, since I've got loads to be getting on with anyway.

i agree, there's nothing quite like it.The learning curve is intimidating at first, but once you've got use to it and found a good partner, there really is'nt anything that can touch it.

Damn i can't stand watching my friend's play it any longer

I haven't taken it on Live yet and have just completed the first single player level.

                  The graphics are incredible.

The music is different, but the cues could be better and maybe not fade in and out so sudden.

The rag doll effects are a vast improvement.

The new moves and interactions are brilliant.

It feels like an entirely new game and you can see the evolution from the previous two.

There are so many details in this game that add to the atmosphere and immersion and, in my opinion, make it by far the best in the series.

A few I like are when you walk by people Sam moves his head to look at them, when you walk back from an enemy he actually steps backwards rather then turning around and as you get closer to people Sam's pose changes and he reaches for his knife ready for if you grab them (he always holds the knife to their throat when you grab people).

The enemy A.I. is definitely the most intelligent yet, but still has some flaws.

The game gets better as the levels go on.

Agreeing with a lot of what I'm reading. The co-op on Friday night with Mardigan was awesome bar the dropping - As CR mentions above this *seemed* to happen without reason (in some cases it seemed to be where the AI was about to kick off and, I assume, a lot more data was trying to fly between consoles - Got very choppy then ended) but when co-op works, it is fantastic (played it split screen with my mate next day and it was just as good.)

The concept of the AI hearing you talk to each other really brings another level of immersion IMO - whispering and watching the audio guage was very tense.

Single player - Best splinter cell yet by far in every respect - graphically, the AI, the design of the levels, the relaxing of the difficulty (best example - the alarm states system).

Great stuff - and I haven't even tried spy vs merc yet (loved it in pandora tomorrow so high hopes !)

                    Top game.

One thing I'm glad the Montreal team have brought back (and I know it's a really small detail) is the continuation of the background noise when flipping from the Opsat to the on-screen world. Pandora Tomorrow basically cut silent on doing that, and I think it was primarily because the engine the Shanghai team were using was either modified or built around for use on the PS2.

One of the reasons Splinter Cell had such a cohesive/immersive atmosphere was in the consistency of the sound design.

just a quick question, previous SC games hadn't had this, but is it at all possible to swap movement/aim sticks to work the other way around?

as in left stick aim/look, right stick strafe/move?

Yep, had to watch it the once though. I wouldn't have minded if it was a story or something instead of random game clips. Perhaps its caching data on the hard drive at the same time.

Yeah I think it's caching you don't need to sit through it again.
