    Yeah thats the right solution

Boyds level and Lungfishopolis are my fav's. I chuckled and laughed all the way through them.

Plus I keep doing quotes from The Milkman and the Agents. I just can't help it but it does get some odd looks in the office

      Hi,
yeah I've opened up the front door to the post office and searched inside but I can't find a plunger.Thing is I actually opened this door up before going to the maze and retrieving the item from there which enables me to enter the grave yard and retrieve the item from the cyrpt.I'am thinking that because I didn't do these tasks in the correct order that somehow this as confused the game(long shot).Where abouts in the post office is the plunger,I'll have another look around tonight and report back.

        You have to

go into the dark area of the post office and use the power that lets you see through the eyes of others (clairvoyance I think) on the video camera. That should make it easier for you to see. The plunger is right at the back of the dark room, near the toilet

            Hi,
ermmm it pains me to say but I finally figured out why I couldn't find the plunger.Up until now I had just assumed that the mental cobweb duster wasn't necassary for progressing in the game,I thought it was just a device to make you want to replay levels after you had finished them for bonus's,so I hadn't bothered collecting enough arrows to buy one until now.Oh how wrong I was,I mean if I engaged my brain for one second before now I should have realised that the only door inside the post office was the one blocked by the coweb, dopey sod.Anyhow I'am back in action now. Thanks for the help,my brains hopefully fully engaged again now

I have a question on the Milkman level - I've got to the house at the end where the little girl won't let me in.... what do I do?

I read I need some kind of invisibility power? Don't think I have that though!

You may need track down a few psy cards to increase your level, in that case.

You get invisibility from Ford Cruller once you reach level 30.

Just wanted to say thanks. If it wasn't for this forum I would never had heard of this game. It arrived yesterday and I'm really enjoying it - that's without even playing it!

It's the first xbox game that my wife has taken any interest in, she's probably ranked up about 8 hrs. Very funny game and incredibly enjoyable even if you're not the one playing it.

                    Just acquired this today:

My bro has been playing, and I must say, the lip-syncing, the visuals, the voice acting, it's stunning. Absolutely amazing stuff. Can't wait to play it myself!

Might take a while but there seems to be light at the end of the PAL related tunnel for Psychonauts

Well what can I say, what a wonderful, hilarious, breath of fresh air Psychonauts is. Finished it last night after having had it sat on a shelf for a month or so and finally got round to playing it last week.

Don't think I've laughed so much whilst playing a game in a long time and with so many memorable and amusing characters, dialogue, levels and setpieces. Some brilliant ideas which have been executed so well. Goggla (Lungfishopolis), the milkman conspiracy and black velvetopia being highlights for me. Though to be fair it's all good.

If I had one gripe it would be that at some points in the game it can be slightly confusing as to where or what you need to do next but you get there in the end.

Great, trippy stuff...up there in my all time fav 'platformers'.

I think the best description I can give is Zelda on acid. Try it and see...

Eurogamer have got this down as uncomfirmed fourth quarter, while GAME are still saying Psychonauts is due on October 14th. Why am I sceptical?

Well... the date the game was due out on at several retailers last time, it failed to surface. We'll see.

I really want to play Psychonauts... it's supposed to be another one of those (slightly) hidden gems in the vein of a Farenheit or Killer7.

I think you'd really njoy and appreciate it Concept, a very off the wall game with some familiar game mechanics but twisted in crazy ways. And actually laff out loud funny in places.

My m8 has been watching me play some of it and was asking what had happened since the last time he'd seen me play it. I had to tell him that it would be virtually impossible for me to even begin to describe what had happened as you can but play it to understand and follow the story/madness (literally). Brilliant stuff...

Have you tried mailing whoever is publishing it or failing that Double Fine...?

Would be a crying shame if this went undetected by too many ppl...

I can't praise how amazingly great the game is, really I can't. It's just so wrong that it hasn't sold much, much better

Everything from the characters, the setting and the direction is totally memorable - it's a Schaffer Lucasarts title in everything but name. As a testament to how endearing it is, months on from finishing it and I still find myself quoting bits from it (and I haven't done that in years).

Len already rightly mentioned Lungfishopolis and The Milkman Conspiracy as stand out points - I don't want to give away anything but those are just two examples of outstanding sections which will plant the game firmly in your mind forever.

Suffice to say that Psychonauts along with Oddworld Strangers Wrath, despite being dropped by MS, have turned into two of the jewels in the system's crown.

Do what you must to get hold of a copy - I guarantee you won't regret it.
