I've been considering picking up the USA PS2 version, too, but after what's been said about it on the previous page I think I'll hold out for the Xbox version a bit longer.

Apart from anything else, I prefer using just about any pad over PS2 ones.

My copy from ebay just arrived in the post today, and it refuses to work on my (modded) xbox. The game disc looks okay, it doesn't look like a dodgy copy or anything, it's got a complete manual and everything, and the xbox detects it as a game disc. When I reboot the xbox it just goes to the dashboard screen. I've copied the game to the hard drive and it still just does the same thing. Is there a problem with this game on modded xboxes or is my copy just screwed?

I run Psychonauts on my modded UK Xbox no problem. It's installed on the HD too,

It'll only run if your Xbox is set to NTSC. If it's in PAL mode, it won't work.

If you mean 'PAL 60' mode in the original dashboard then it's been like that since I got it modded, even thought that made my completed-before-modding PGR1 game inaccessable (still bitter about that). I don't know where else you can set the NTSC/PAL setting of the game. At least you've given me hope. Thanks

No, not PAL 60, actual NTSC. I don't know what the up-to-date way is to change your Xbox between PAL and NTSC. I use something called Enigmah Video Mode Select, which is really old but does the job. It's not a setting you can change in the Microsoft dashboard.

I just grabbed that program, changed to NTSC mode, and it worked perfectly. Thanks heaps for that. Is it me or do NTSC games look a little more washed out? Or is it because I've got a PAL console/TV ... whatever. Just happy I can finally give this game a go. Thanks again.

On my modded Xbox, if I ever have it set to PAL (never), then the game just boots in 480i. Try running the Enigmah Videomode Switchdisc program on your modded Xbox and setting the system to NTSC. If you don't know where to get the program, PM me.

Just got past the stage level, it really confused the arse off me, good though. This is definitely one of my favourite games of all time, my only gripe is that it is so mental that it just baffles me. thank god for crullers love for bacon.

Currenty at rank 62, I just love searching for the cards using the powers.

It's over and I loved every second of it. Especially the board game What a masterpeice. The last level felt a bit boring in comparison but still awesome. Looks like they've left it open for a sequel... oooo
