been playing this for about 2hr's now and its hands down my favorite ds game!

gonna have to get myself a screen protector for the spinning disc part as my old screen protector took a wasting from the same situation on electroplankton. i wish they never put it in it!

Learn not to press too hard, the spinning wheel bits havent damaged my screen at all & mines totally naked without any protector on it. Although saying that when i really get into a song i sometimes hammer the beats a little too hard

Playing with a full sized stylus helps lots too.

I've played this for about an hour or 2 as well, and I must say this is a cracking game. Some very wacky storylines (the horse chasing the robber ) and great gameplay. I plunged right into normal without realising it, and had a horrendus time of it. Changed over to easy, and I'm getting the hang of it now.

One thing I haven't been able to grasp is the timing. I usually tap the marker too early.....

Yeah you really have to force yourself sometimes to hold off hitting the marker till the circle is ready. When i really get into the rythm of a certain song i sometimes accidentally hit them too early as well.

Hehe even on easy you will find some of the songs quite challenging, i know i did. after a while though you will learn the patterns & it becomes second nature. Then you can freak out at the mental hard songs wondering if you'll ever see the end of them (^_^)

I know i felt like shouting OUENDAAAAAAAAAAAN

Could have done the cheer gang myself while playing this game

i've only done a little, but i'm the same.
i managed to do the first schoolboy level easily enough, but couldnt handle any of the others, so had to switch over to easy.
but, at first at least, its too easy. with so few beats to hit i end up doing it far to quickly and just miss them all.

absolutely brilliant game though, and i've hardly touched jump super stars, which i really didnt expect to happen.

ive took this like a duck to water on both settings.

im really bad at games aswell, actually im embarrassingly bad, but i suppose ive got a good sense of rhythm.

Got this finally, alone with my white DS. And Ouendan doesn't dissapoint being my systemseller.

I could only play 3 songs so far, but my girl, now in uni vacation, grabbed it while I'm at work and was immediately hooked. "I think I need a DS too" was her conclusion after playing through the easy mode.

Me, I'm sticking to the leader

My god, I'm utterly in love with this game. I knew coming from the makers of Gitaroo Man it was going to be great, but so far it's exceeded my already high expectations. I finished yesterday on Easy, I'm currently halfway through normal. I managed to find the song for the final level, which is probabily the best song ever (clicky below)

                    Ready Steady Go - Ouendan

READY STEADY CAN'T HOLD ME BACK
READY STEADY GIVE ME GOOD LUCK
                    READY STEADY NEVER LOOK BACK
LET'S GET STARTED READY STEADY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

It's a great song indeed. One of my favourite OP songs in an anime, up there with Haruka Kanata from Naruto and one or two others.

i keep switching between easy and normal, so i havent done many songs yet.

but i've just spent ages playing one song over and over again....the motorbike/ghost bloke one thats been mentioned earlier in this thread
                        definately my favourite so far.
just love the way the beepy/boopy sound effects fit the song so well, along with the heart shapes your following with the stylus.

that song is so hard on normal difficulty

This is one of those games that will make you play just one more round till the next level. My favourite DS game so far!

Yeah, that's where I'm hopelessly stuck at now. I've got the first part down perfectly, but it's so hard not to make mistakes in the next bit

                              Keep going people (^_^)

Once you get the hang of ready steady go, it will have prepared you to cope with hard mode.

Theres nothing i can really suggest to make it easier its just all down to learning the timing & patterns.

                                A question

Does the harder mode/s just score you differently as in Nanostray, or are the patterns totally new?
How many patterns are there for each song? A different one for each setting or does the game just require you to be more accurate at the same pattern?
