Played this for an hour or so at work today and it's pretty much Burnout 3 but with tracks from 1 & 2 added for good measure, as in Burnout 3 the main meat of the game is the World Tour mode which has the usual selection of challenges e.g. takedown, eliminator and one on one races etc. Pursuit mode from Burnout 2 has made it into the mix and crash mode makes a return as well.
The speed is as always insanely fast even in the basic coupes and takedowns are as fun as ever (especially aftertouch takedowns), basically if you enjoyed the previous versions you'll enjoy this as well although if you got sick of Burnout 3 on PS2/X-Box then there's nothing here worth getting particularly excited about.
The graphics aren't exactly fantastic compared to say Ridge Racers, they're very jaggy in places and the cars aren't particularly detailed either but at the speeds you'll be racing at there's not really any time to stop and look at them in detail anyway. If the soundtrack on Burnout 3 bothered you then Legends will do so also but I'm sure it'll please the MTV2 crowd however the annoying announcer from 3 is gone I'm glad to say.
Again like most games being released now 1.52 firmware seems to be required and there's no infrastructure mode either, up to 6 players can play ad-hoc though.
