****. I was hoping this wouldn't be very good, but you see, I'm now remembering that a) I played BO3 practically solid when I got it and b) I played BO3 online even more when I got it.

And rock-solid Road Rage is just too good to miss...

Every one of last nights Road Rage events worked great... ended up with 3v2 but it still worked really well and what a laugh we had trying to nail the opposing team or get away from them

It aint really been pumped much before, but the gorgeous tracks have to get a mention, the multiple routes and opportunity for air time and massive takedowsn is just perfect. They really have put a lot of work into every detail on the tracks and you immediately see the benfit in the quality of the races. The crash junctions are also really well designed and guiding your car through the air in slow motion after a killer jump into the sweetest target you can find will make you so happy.

God I love criterion. Just been playing this for an hour and it reminds me of how much I enjoyed BO3. Brilliant more of the same on steroids action!

I foogin LOVE this game. Expected more of the same with lame "traffic checking" - but guess what - it works !!

Every game Mardi & Myself played last night ran a dream. There was some goofy "xbox live not available" stints but I gather the Halo2 division were experiencing this as well.

Biggest problem was that sometimes it wouldn't let me launch the game (I was host) when there were 6 players - I dunno if it's a bandwidth issue if so it certainly never said so - sometimes worked with 6, other times was only letting 5 in - weird. I wonder if it relates to the party system ??

Otherwise, this is a top game and a definite jewel in the xbox live crown.

Right, looks like we will be getting a little party set-up for some Race, Road Rage and Crash tonight at 17.30. Myself and Yoshimax will be kicking it for sure so anyone else interested and not on my friends list fire me a request and I get you an invite. Gonna be a closed party so dont have any randoms taking up space

excellent game, although that golf style meter at the start of the crash mode is possibly the most retarded thing ive ever seen in my entire life. and also, the game doesnt need to constantly tell me which button is for boost just because i have some boost im not using. I KNOW ALREADY, SHUTUP.

Yes three things I officially dislike about this game:

1. Having to press Y every single f-ing race to go into in-car mode (yes I have to play in-car as its the sh*t and only wimps play in 3rd person).

2. The stupid golf swing gauge for crash mode.

3. The singleplayer Traffic Attack levels.

BUT.

Everything else is pure class... Xbox LIVE is bliss, with much improved menu system now in place.

But, above all else... White Mountain. What a f-ing classic track, simply excellent to play and easily the best track in the game. I could play on that track all night and not get bored.

Is there no setting to change the view in the options menu? I was getting sick of changing it too but I keep forgetting to check the options when I fire it up.

I find the whole view thing a little irritating too!

Alas having looked in the options I see know way to change this

I guess it's only a small issue which doesn't really detract from this brilliant game, but it would be nice all the same!

So who else plays in-car? I've always played Ridge on in-car view, but Burnout I always had the chase cam on, just so I can see who is beside me for a bit of rammage. What's everybody elses 2 cents?

(Also do you get a rear view mirror when you go in-car on this one?)

@Gilgam3sh : X button is rear view in either incar or external

@Friction : Can't see a way to do this - right pain in the ass. ALSO the worst thing of all when you play any crash mode online it's fixed 3rd person for some reason and Y won't change it.

@Bleeders : Don't think so mate. I think there are some 2 player split screen modes though and definately some hot-seat play.

Played again last night and there were no issues at all - just got my BB upgraded to 10MB by blueyonder and was able to host 2 UK players and 4 US players with no lag/starting problems or anything - superb.
