    I prefer laying a few of the tree whips then taking one of a squad with a head shot so his pals chase me into the woods... THWACK.... THWACK one is left and I strafe round behing him and either empty an tire clip into his skull or knife him in the back.

    The game is balanced pretty well so you have the choice to stealth it or go gong ho.

    Love the rolling onto your back move when under a hut then shooting throug hte boards. Had a laugh last night on live with Evil Boris hiding in the bushes during a 'Steal the sample' match... I am hidden aswell and am close enough to hear him say... "Can you not roll onto your back when in the open"... at which point I clock him bouncing up and down trying to roll onto his back, hahahaha, I quickly put a stop to it with a little grenade at his feet Your on your back now ya ****, hahahaha!!

      Map editor is superb; really feels like it's been designed for a pad. However, it is more timeconsuming than you think. Building the geography is quite easy; laying all the stuff down, especially trees, bushes, suitable cover is tricky. The walkways snap together, but they're quite hard to make work properly. Worst of all, though, is aligning the ladders with the sniper towers, which takes a while.

      Still, it's a good laugh.

      Once I've sketched it out, I have what could be a very entertaining Steal the Sample/Chaos map. I have a rough outline in my head. It's called Wave Race...

          Oh - favourite map editor touch; in the Environment mode (on the right trigger, along a bit, where you choose background noise, fog and time of day) you can also take the screenshot your map will be identified by yourself. A nice touch. (Also, the performance indicator top right when you drop into the map is great).

            That was my 2nd map after "Yoshi's Island" Bleeers !

            Just the oval track from WR64 with the island in the middle - 2 sniper towers on the central island (covering either side of the track) - everybody gets either snipers or rocket launchers and just take pops at the loons on the jestskis. 8)

            There's so much commendable about this game - and to think I was sure it was going to turn out a pile of ****e.

                I'm thinking a Predator theme here; foggy environment, lots of trees and high-grass for cover and claymore/tree whip opportunities, sniper tower and bases in each of the four corners. Ideally, I'd like to make the level multi-tier rather than being on one level, I dunno if that's even possible though. Oh, it goes without saying, standard issue 'Dutch' weaponary from the outset too!

                I call it... "I Ain't Got Time To Bleed!"

                  You can have it Multi tier, although you only have 8 ladders, I dunno why mind you. The ground needs to be connecting to the well.. ground. But you can elevate the walkways and ramps as high as you want.

                  My Map idea should utilise the elevated ramps and a couple of gliders.

                    Liked the custom one you done yesterday mate especially when things like *that* bridge incident happened with Mardigan coupled with tree whips and being sniped off a Jetski

                    Moments like that really make Live IMO.

                      Mapmaking is harder than some might think,

                      Laying ground is easy, but remember you need to have spawn points set up well and each building, tree, bush, weapons and powerups not to mention motors boats etc

                      If you building a chaos or team chaos its easy, but when you build a retreive the sample it needs to be balanced for entry and exits, respawn and weapon placements.

                      takes atleast an hour for a decent map, longer for more detailed ones.

                            We should maybe set some time to download Maps of one another. Makesure to set them to published though.

                            If We have to many players downloading maps at the same time it takes forever, if you make a new map and its intended to be used requlary makesure you get it distrubuted to everyone at seprate times. I.e two people in a lobby waiting for everyone else should swap maps while they wait

                              Is there a way of having the maps available for download from a dedicated server? Or would that be too useful a feature for Ubi to include :P

                                too usefull methinks, I don't know f you can copy them to a memory card though, in which case you could use something like an action replay to trade maps
