Picked up a prostitute in my van earlier, totally by mistake (honest!). Loved the mission where you get attacked by the hitmen, found blowing up the cars to be very handy there. I can only get one vehicle at a time into my garage, how are you guys packing it out? When I have one bike in there for example, the door doesnt open if I go up to it with another.

You lot do realise that 2.0's now have loaders to run certain emulaters and I'm pretty sure there's a SNES one working fine.

      I'll look for a link.

You just park the car/bike infront, get out so the door opens and quickly get on your bike/car straight away again, theres usually a slight delay in opening so you can actually press triangle to get in the vehicle before the door opens, and start driving just as the door beginds to rise open. Sometimes its too quick though in LCS so you have to park a car or bike at the side over the line of the door so it blocks it from closing, but sometimes that doesnt even work. Just experiment about. I've got 1 car and 4 bikes just now, tried a 5th bike and it kept dissapearing.

Also, in the last mission for Salvatore in Portland, I went to his house and his Banshee from the mission before was lying there smoking. So I tried to get in, no luckk, it was locked. Then realised, my hideout is only seconds away down that hill, so got in a van and proceeded to push the car all the way down the hill, which blew it up, and into my hideout, hoping that once I put it in the garage and it respawned the car, it would be unlucked. No such luck, As with previous GTA's, if you let the blown up car out of your line of sight for more than a few seconds, it just dissapeared.

And I was only like 5m from the garage too!!

Anyone else tried it to see if it works?

          Loved the

          chainsaw mission

, quite hard but great when you do it, the mission driving Mr Leone,

involving getting over to the new island was pretty hard and respraying doesnt help!

The more missions you do against other gangs just makes them shoot you as your walking the streets, or sometimes interfering with missions! very frustrating.

Yeah, that can be really annoying. It's not as bad as in GTA 3 with the Mafia where it was pretty much impossible to look for hidden packages after a certain point. Where it really gets to me here is in the races - suddenly I'll find my tires have been shot out and there is no way I can get back in the race in time.

Agreed. The bike races in particular are a nightmare as it's very easy to fall off at the slightest touch. In San Andreas the background levelling-up system paid dividends for the more frustrating side-missions.

Don't know if it's just me, or the controls on the PSP, but is anyone else finding this frustratingly hard in places?

I've lost count of the missions I have had to try, try and try again. Even simple stuff that wouldn't usually be a problem!

I've completed all 3 PS2 GTA games so I don't think it's me being crap, but I don't get what I am doing wrong here!

The mission I am on at the moment involves

being chased by loads of guys with chainsaws who litterally kill you in 1 hit, I've resorted to running around with a bat yet they often still manage to hit me even though I am running away! I did it once but then the last guy with a gun just shot me and killed me! Not impressed, tried this mission loads of times now

I like this game and want to like it more but the fact I have to try every other mission more than once is quite irritating! It seems like the learning curve on this one is ramped right up!

                Thoughts?!

At first, I had trouble getting used to the controls as Im used to playing it using a Dualshock, and the PSP also puts a strain on my hands, but I got used to it after a while, and now it doesnt matter, and Im used to the controls.

The controls can be a pain to start with but they've become second nature to me now.

                    On that particular mission,

get yourself some body armour and a decent machine gun before you start. Keep your distance from the blokes with chainsaws and pick them off one at a time; if they start to close in on you, leg it until there's a large enough gap between you.

Strangely for me, I've actually found this game slightly easier than the previous versions - it probably helps that the missions are shorter to suit the host platform though.

Yeah that was a tough mission. Actually I went back to San Andreas yesterday - hadn't played it in about a year. I never finished the story missions in SA but I had a look at an faq and it turns out I'm only about 4 or 5 missions to the end. Well, I tried one of them again yesterday and must have tried about 8 times before giving up. I had totally forgotton how hard SA got. I will finish it eventually but I definitely think that LCS was a good deal easier.

I had forgotten too just how good SA was and how much was added to the formula. It's a damn fine game.

I finally managed to do the mission I was stuck on, took another 5 goes at least but it's done now My method

running around with a baseball bat

                        actually worked quite well!

Done a few more missions now, thankfully they have been a little easier. Got to

                        Staunton Island

now, mission I have to do is quite tricky....

                        The fun continues!

friction on that level you beat

theres a magnum and some body armour on the way in, and i found just walking away from the guys was fine & sprint a little then quickly turn to get a good shot, the magnum was best because it kills in 1 shot, try to make the enemy get stuck/go slower on the boxes kinda helped too

Ive yet to do anything on the second island other than hunt for packages and rampages. I did attempt the first mission

trying to kill the mayor, but i think a sniper rifle may be needed

So much fun from such a tiny game

I noticed those but I found stopping to lock on and shoot was how I got killed all the time!

I'm getting wound up with this now, the missions just seem to get harder and more frustrating as the game goes on. I'm doing a mission now where I have to

Protect Donald Love's limo, by sniping people shooting at it - I find the analogue stick on the PSP seems to have no bite, then it just whips across the screen! There seems to be no fine tuning potential at all when the sniper rifle is zoomed in fully. I finally done that after 3 goes only for a van to turn up following me, shooting the **** out of me as I go, no way to get rid of that, so once more I see the 'Mission Failed' screen! I like this game but it's just so so frustrating! ft:

When using the sniper rifle, hold down the L button for finer movement.

Oh yes heres a good tip!, try control method 2 and this changes the triggers when driving to similar to ps2 version, ie: L for face left, R for right and hold both down to see when reversing, for this tradeoff pressing x and square is used for handbrake, but that kinda makes it like ridge racer
