I got to give this a quick whizz at a friends house on his plasma tv, it only supports 480p and it looked like a blurry horrible mess. Anyone who says that it doesn't make a difference being HD is just plain wrong.

I need to get better, as i am the suxxor at the game though, although I blame my lack of skill on being distracted by the blurryness

my game arrived today, and so far its been one of the most frustrating game experiences ever. i cant believe how ****ing hard the singleplayer is. for someone who hasnt really palyed the others, how the hell are u meant to get good? fighting the same person about 30 times is NOT fun, havint the cpu magically counter every fecking punch u throw is also NOT fun. i really cant imagine what they were thinking, its like they didnt want anyone new to the series to pick this game up. well i did, and its the biggest fecking waste of ?40 of my life.

i even tried going online as that must be where teh fun is at i thought, so i joined a lobby, selected join match, and started watching 2 other ppl in slow motion with all their speech repeating. so i quit it, and searched for another, only to find myself in the same lobby, so i decided to look and see who was in it and checked someones gamer card, then the game decided to crash.

i turned off my 360 before i threw it out the window.

Mr Fujisawa I totally sympathise with you...
The single player isn't fun if you're new to the series, and you have to have some serious commitment to slog through it.

If you do have the patience of a saint tho and stick with it, learn a character to a decent standard, get online with no lag (it can happen!) you will enjoy the game a whole lot more.

I've had some good, no lag, sessions online, which really makes all worth while...Honestly!

I still haven't forgiven TN for making Alpha 152 yet tho - gggrrrrrrrr >:|

I'm usless at fighting games and I'm making slow progress but it's deffo worth it. Even my wife can see my improvement. She said before I was hammering the stick like a man using a brail typewriter.

Go and play something else for a bit. After my first 15 mins I went and played COD2, took out my frustration on someone else. A good head shot always cheers me up.

I've finished story mode yesterday mode with all characters. I still miss one extra character (I have Helena and the Spartan) , where do I get that last one ? ...
I've played through it with the little I know from DOA3.
I've only played 3 matches online so far, and it worked really well, I was in a lobby with 3 other players, and I've only experienced a little slow down in one round so nothing to complain about so far. I thought it all worked really well.
I'm now first going into sparring mode to learn at least one character and then I'm gonna take it online and start beating the crap out of people.... erm.... atleast that's what I'm gonna try to.....

Good question...

I guess it comes down to how much you like the genre in general and how much you want to become versed in the game.

But only you can answer this...

I just know you can come out the other side, but it's gonna test your mental reserve.

Unlock Tengu. 20 Gamerscore Points. Complete Time-attack mode with everyone. That includes secret characters.

ok ive been playing loads of onling matches sin s1ngho, waqs, yoshimax. really enjoyed that!!! makes me want to get better at the game

Not read the thread, but fancy posting my impressions anyway:
First impression was that it's pretty poor, barely looks any better than DOA3/U, and a few new characters and moves isn't worth another ?30.
Played it a couple of hours now (SP only) and it's fantastic, all minor changes but it's so much better than the xbox versions, I've no idea why but it is. Graphics now seem nicer too, though I'm still a bit disappointed with those. Guess I'm lucky that I've played the series a lot so I'm loving the difficultly level (generally lose once/twice through story mode on normal). Definitely recommend it - the more getting online the better! Although I do hate the lobby system, I want to fight not chat!
