Arghh!! I want!!!

Sounds really cool, you really seem impressed by it. And I do love my Matrix films so being Neo and acting it all out will be aces!

Just cant decide on PS2 or Xbox though... Maybe Xbox so I can play it with my 360!? Not sure...

Well, the early levels are pretty naff, but once you get into the movie content and unlock some of better moves it goes ballisitc...

From the first encounter with Smith to where I am now, its all quality!! The way they haev recreated the movie scenes allowing you to re-inact them as you see fit (Little "The One" reference there, hehehe) is really impressive. The fight with Smith in the subway is class aswell. It basically starts just like the movie, so I flicked on the bullet time, pulled out my piece ran to my right shooting, jumped onto the wall and then jumped off it flying toward him, while he does the same, it is ****en magic when it comes together like that.

Every scene can be totally destroyed with you throwing folk through walls out windows and agents leaving chunks of scenery missing when you hit them off it, just like the movie. The first fight from Reloaded with the upgraded agents is also in there and its a beauty.

At first the controls seem really constrained and simple but as you unlock the good stuff and start to learn when to use your special atacks in conjuntion with normal attack and focus you become a hand to hand fighting god, just like you should be. My fight in the burly brawl brought it all to a head last night and just like Neo in that scene of the movie I was untouchable all the hard work I have out in with the crappy levels paid off in a way I could never have imagined

**** sake, you can do that sweep move Neo does with the pole, the one where he swings round it kicking all the agents near him, pull off special combos where you attack 4 Smiths at the same time all in bullet time and then finish with a zoomed in move where you can flip over the last guys head throw the pole in the air, catch it as you ****ing land then bat him into a wall... anyone who fails to enjoy this type of action take a good look at themself.

I could obsess about this and the Merovingian goon fight for another 3 pages telling you every move I done cause they were all amazing but it best to see it for yourself the variety you can bring into the fighting is fantastic, its all about how much YOU can get out of Neo. Going by the outcome of the Burly Brawl am doing pretty ****en good, hehe.

Right, so I read the IGN head to head and they say PS2 is better but juuusttt mainly because the game was made around PS2, with better framerate, etc. Also it has proper widescreen, where as Xbox is just 4:3, but Xbox has Progressive Scan and PS2 doesnt, so I dont know whether to go Xbox or not since I'm getting a new HD tv, dont want the PS2 one looking shoddy compared to prog scan on Xbox one...

Dont know about XBox but PS2 gives you 50Hz / 60Hz option every time you fire it up so it running in lovely 60 Hz on my Widescreen monster and looks the nuts!!

Another lovely move coming up... preferably do this on an agent as they have more energy and wont die during the move... Focus on and 4 hit combo to hit agent back and into air, then while still in bullet time run after him, jump into the air, grab himand fly into a wall with him over your shoulder smashing him either through it or right into it, sending concrete everywhere... let Neo fall down to the ground and have a big smile to yourself.

Also (This is getting out of hand), grab any character by their feet when they either on the ground or flying in the air, and you can rotate the left stick to swing them round by there feet and throw them into a wall or something. This works best when you are in a small room or beside pillars as you will smash their head off the concrete pillars or parts of the wall sending debris everywhere and just keep swinging them round.

It comes close to rivalling Dante for the style of moves on show.

Wow that last move sounds ace, is there blood in the game? That final move would be perfect if you got big splatters of blood dripping round and you swing your foe around like a rag doll!!

Seriously though, what TV do you have? Is it HD? I want the PS2 version but scared it might look shoddy compared to Xbox using Prog scan!!!?

I aint sure how my set-up will compare to yours. Mine aint HD, its 32-inch Panasonic widescreen and churns things out on a pretty great scale considering I have had it for 3 years. Was top of the line when I got it. Afraid aint clued up on the prg scan and HDTV settings so dont know what would be best... I can talk more about how ****ing rock hard Neo is

There iant blood, but instead you get trickles of Matrix code where blood would be when you connect with the big hits and TBH it looks great. The way agents die and revert back to the human form they possessed is really well done aswell.

Another great move unlocked when you become "The One" is performed by tapping Triangle repeatedly after you grab an enemy... Neo does a series of ultra fast punches tothe face and body that look **** hot in bullet time then finishes with a hook to the face, just like the one in Revolutions that he hits Smith with and you see his face crumple under it... it sends your enemy flying.

The multiple enemy attacks are my favourite so far though, grab one enemy and before you do a move perform another grab as if you were grabbing a second enemy, you will then perform a move where you attack the both of them at the same time... lock there arms together then do a split kick to knock them over or my personal favourite, a move he does in the movie during the burly brawl, hit each of them a couple times then bend forward to punch one and at the same time kick the second one with your outstretched leg, hahahaha. The more you unlock the better these moves get and the more enemies you can attack at the same time using this move... Its too much, my head is gonna explode if I get any more moves in the game!!

Thats probably the best way to describe it, pure solid fun. DMC3 is by far and away my game of the year but Path of Neo is the only other title that has come close to it in terms of the fun you can have with its combat system.

I am going to go home tonight and probably play nothing but the Burly Brawl and the Merovingian goona fight... along with some Pro Evo of course.

Another point to add that might knock you off yoyur chair is you actually have the ability to stop bullets like Neo does in the movie, so you start the Merovingian fight by letting 6 guys empty their clips at you while you stop every bullet and then let them all fall harmlessly to the ground, they then go flying for the melee weapons on the walls and all hell breaks loose. It is such a sick move and feels so good to do. You can do at any point during your fights and it is amazing for showing your enemies just how ridiculous they are. Takes practice and good timing to get it right though... I started the Merovingian mission with it last night then when they went for the weapons I flew at one them in bullet time grabbed him, continued to fly into the wall with him over my shoulder then smashed him into a statue, I then dodged a sword lunge from one guy, ran along the right hand side wall of the staircase, grabbed a Broadsword and continued the fight, smashing another goon through the balcony onto the bottom floor and then landed beside him, just like the film. Fun is too soft a word for being able to perform **** like that... its like you are the director of the movies and get to redo the fight scenes from the movie, class!!

Wait there is more and I started laughin when I saw this cause its far too much... after the events of the first movie have played out you can.... view the whole world in matrix code, fight with this view turned on and you can see through walls, locate weapons easier and see enemies who are hiding... is that not just the craziest thing you have ever heard?? The first time I used it was weird but in some situations it is amazing... doing the Burly Brawl with it turned on it all just looked gorgeous!!

When you mix all the different ingredients together you cant help but be blown away by this beauty. Push past the early ****e for some of the best action scenes you will play this year.

God knows what I will be obsessing about when I do the final fight with Smith

Some bits are as turdy as a wet turd when its raining but 75% of the action is as good as as what I have been talking about. Push past the ****e and you uncover some absolutely, blinding, action scenes.

Its like a sandpit, where you get to rebuild the Matrix films the way YOU think the fights should be
