I'm stuck on 99 fruits - have even been through the game with a FAQ and I can't find the missing one. Has anyone else come across something similar?

Ok i only got my 360 yesterday and am having a blast in Kameo, one thing bugs me though is that ive just finished the water temple but i didnt get an achievement for saving kameos aunt and gaining the new sprite chilla. Has anyone else encountered this and if so do they appear some time later or something?

Jiggy - there's a bug in the game regarding achievements being unlocked if you're playing on live at the time. It doesn't seem to affect everyone, or every achievement, but a lot of people have missed out in this way. There is supposed to be a fix coming, because it affects other games too, but it's been coming for a couple of months now!
I've just tried to find mention of it in this thread, because I'm sure lots of people had the problem, but I can't find a thing. For the record, I finished the game and unlocked all the achievements - not once did I play the game on live.

As I said, there is supposed to be a fix coming for all these achievement problems - Kameo isn't the only game affected - but it's been that way for a couple of months now, and no-one seems to know when it's due.
At the moment, I think the only solution would be to play through the game again, up to that point, which isn't ideal. If you do decide to do that, play the game offline.

You can pick this one up cheap as chips these days, (Thanks GeoffD!) and so I decided to give it a go.
I find Zelda games sometimes don't hold my hand enough, but Kameo goes too far the other way. It sort of takes the fun out of it when the game tells me everything I have to do!
Mind you, I am really impressed with the visuals and artistic design of the game. It still looks sublime today, and to think this was a launch game with xbox development? Impressive.
Anyway, I'm not very good at these sorts of games normally, so I'm enjoying it more than expected, a real 7/10 game that deserves a run through, and far better than I had imagined.
It felt like a Rare game again, but an over produced example. Sort of like getting a new CD of your favorite live band, only to find the "edge" is missing and it's been over produced to death.

It does look very nice, shame about Kameo looking over-designed though.
I'm stuck, I can't believe it! I'm in the Water Temple, the book is yellling at me what to do, but it just doesn't seem to be working. Aaargh! Will have a read through of this thread and find out what I'm doing wrong.
The combat is nice, the whole buying new moves seems a bit archaic though.
My copy was £9 (Classics version) from thegamecollection.net.

I finished this back when I first got my 360 but I've re-purchased it as it was going for about ?8 brand new on Play Asia
It's a very underrated game as far as I'm concerned, looks the part, plays really well, lots to do and collect, etc., etc.. Have to agree with SUMIRE though, the one really frustrating part for me were the underwater controls for the water temple! Took me much longer to do that than it should have thanks to the controls!
I'll be going through it again soon to collect all the fruits etc., to get the completed game achievement, trying for the A rankings on each level. I doubt I'll do that though, I'm okay at completing a game but completing it well is another kettle of fishI'm also going to be going through it on co-op so if anyone sees me on Live and fancies going though a couple of levels, feel free to invite me / join my game.

At launch this was actually my most played game which kindof surprised me at the time. I still think it looks ace and the range of abilities and the way you can mix them up is really well done. It's not the hardest game but I enjoyed the fact that I was constantly moving forward, getting more pwerful and opening up other areas to explore. The only bit where I got annoyed was in the battle against Lord Drokk (sp?), he was a right pain.

Kameo makes me feel a bit sick when I play it, because a) as many have said, it's utterly generic kiddie-book fantasy AND run through the Rare cuteness filter ("Stick BIG EYES on THINGS!") and b) it looks exactly like what it is: an Xbox game with a million layers of veneer stuck on the top ("How many floating bits of crap can we get in the air in this level!").
