If there was a guy infront of you he had usually employed the same tactic as you, and therefore is a decent driver not looking to wall or car ride ! Just a mater of keeping your pace up then so the guys slowed down from the first corner collisions could not catch you, and if you do spot that one of them has caught you up, take a erratic late line through a bend, so instead of powering into you and bouncing off, they just power straight into a wall.

Guess we've all gotta remember though that :
The flip side to this is that you can hang back but then the first corner turns into a clusterf*ck and you can't get through the mess without getting tagged, while the front runners blaze off into the distance and you have to try and work your way past the idiots from the back. There's nothing more rage inducing for me than falling back a league or two thanks to some idiot wrecking a race and putting me in 8th place.

I really don't understand what the TrueSkill ranking actually does, because I still end up playing in races mixed with pros and complete newcomers all the time. I thought the whole thing was supposed to ensure that you play against people of similar skill?

It's all about the playing not the winning (or that's what I keep telling myself when I lose).

Not sure about the trueskill, I'm not ranked that highly now I guess, so it makes no difference to me atm !

So far I didn't have to many problems with the online racing, but yes unfortunally there are always some idiots that can ruin a race. But I hope the ranking system will work, when I played DTM Race driver 2 online a lot you could have great races as long as you kept playing with the high ranked player, most idiots that ruin races aren't ranked too high.
and if you want to race without huge crashes, try "one on one" that's is great ! manno to manno

seriously, some of you guys whine far too much! There have allways been dicks in online racing games. You've just gotta work around it.

The music in that video is by The Chemical Brothers, a track called Hold Tight London. I stumbled across it whilst listening to my tunes and playing Geometry Wars ^ ^

I have no idea how you've managed to do that. Do you play it 24/7?

nope.3 days a week, since i got it on the 2nd of december.I've only logged in 23 hours, thats including playing online.

None of the challenge's were that hard at all.

Got an advanced scart today, and boy does it make a difference, i have a 32" widescreen and i'm all planned to go hdtv in the new year but 42" but after playing this with what i have i feel there is no real rush atall, as i've said before, this game plays absolutely ace and looks wow wee!

Anyway, got a 5 hours session in, now going through everything and getting golds, its fun, much more challanging, but i can see myself struggling when hardcore comes...

I listened to the strokes, kasabian, lennon, neil young, oasis, and more, all full albums and blasting around to different courses, different objectives, it is just so brilliant.

Probably going to have a few more hours before bed, just need to get myself on-line now and play against people from here

Anyone else think this game is overly dark. Running it in 720P and even in day time especially on london it looks quite dark. But if you switch to in car view the game looks nice and bright, but any other view looks quite dull. It`s not my settings on the tv as every other game i`ve tried is fine. Can`t see why Bizarre have had to make the overall look so dark.

Yeah they've definitely screwed the lighting on a few of the events.

Got it today and been playing it for most of the day so far. I'm loving it. Usually I'm not a big racing fan (quite the opposite) but PGR3 has left a good impression on me, Its fun, easy to get into, looks brilliant or 'next gen' and I managed to get a ferrari without spending 3 weeks on it!

                            Hurrah!

                              A few words :

                              Got it for Christmas.
                              Blown away.
                              ****ing yes!

Seriously, this game is brilliant, the way it is almost constantly, seamlessley integrated into Live is just brilliant too.

If I was TRYING to think of a complaint I'd say that it certainly does appear too dark in places, not a big deal but its there...

The idea of it being too dark has never popped into my head whilst playing. Not once at all, and I keep forgetting to actually remember and just look to see how dark it is when playing but I'll try next time to see, but when I think back over the 20 odd hours I must have put into this, I dont think its too dark at all, but I havent tried the VGA cable yet which may brighten it up apparently.

Got a 2nd controller yesterday so me and my sisters boyfriend were tearing it up around some tracks for a few hours, brilliant fun, even though he didnt win one race!!

Kinda crappy you cant do in car view in split screen mode but on the floor bumper cam is good enough to get the job done.
