Then I'd say fix the collision detection.

I think part of what makes it so easy to collide is how the game is balanced. I think what Bizarre have captured really well is the overtaking and pulling alongside of other cars - no car really blasts straight past another (except on the greatest of mis-matches), there's always this slow, gradual pulling in front. It's all designed around that moment when you're in the cockpit, you hear the engine note chage as they pull up beside on a straight, you pull on the right stick and the world's a blur apart from this glistening car.

Again, it's all about finding the right crowd, really, and as the game ages only those that really care about racing will remain. I'm a pretty clumsy driver myself but whenever I do tap someone, I do always wait for them to re-take the position after the corner. Sure, it probably costs me a place or two and a hundred odd places in the rankings, but it's my mistake tbh. Unfortunately the coertesy doesn't seem to be spreading much. Instead, it's just berks who, when trying to overtake, sidle against my tail with their nose on the straight and then complain when my resulting spin knocks them off the track. Ah well. is there a regular group of PGR players on here? my friends list only ever has one or two players on PGR at a time. This is probably why we need clans in more games. Not just for the clan mentality of team games, but to build clubs of players who all play with the same rules and ethos.

Yeah that option proved to be very popular in Forza, my racing team still play together, called TTR you might see a few of their times on the score boards. Its a shame the opportunity was missed in PGR3.

Ive hardly played PGR3 at all recently. Mainly due to online just being a shambles.

Its best to just play with a good group of people you know than going in random games and getting bashed to ****!

Stuck on single player recently though again and I love it so I'm up for some decent races online if anyone wants to add me.

well said there m8, and yes, racing clans like we had in Forza would be very welcome in PGR3, racing with like minded people. And best of all really going for it against other clans with the team races.....

Grr - the lobby reset has been driving (see what I did there) mad tonight. I waited as long as 20 minutes for a game at one point. This is why I don't play the career mode much, but I need to atm to get the 25K kudos for the style racer acheivement.

I've had most success doing the 1-on-1 stuff, the races there seems don't do this bumping business :/ The counter reset really does need sorting out. Having said that, I had a Nurburgring race that was really good, no stupid car bashing going on. The wait just kills me.

Just been given 5,000,000 credits for finishing a cup, guess it must be a bug. Handy as I now own every car in the game bar one.

Glad it didn't happen earlier though as it would have taken the fun out of collecting the various car achievements.

If all your doing is trying to bump up your Kudos online then do what I did, grab a mate and go into private chat. Go into 1on1 racing and time it so you both select your car at the same time... usually you'll drop into the same game together.

Then as 1on1 is usually 5 laps enjoy drifting like a madman and bump up your kudos.

I have done the Gold trophies.

I do not remember PGR2 being this easy as I spent a good 7 months trying to get a bunch of medals to complete the game towards the Gold status and I held my head high and was very proud of my achievement that day whereas in PGR3 - there are a few difficult challenges such as the first Cone Challenge on the London track (10,000 points) and one of the Nurburgring championship where you had to do 7 various timed challenges (the last 'Hot Lap' - the whole track itself!) - it is reasonably easy if I must be honest.

There are too many problems that needs to be addressed too:

                      The loading times.

Why have I got to wait for the online lobby to gradually fill-up until the 30 seconds countdown timer starts before someone leaves at the very last minute thus the timer resets back to 30 seconds, again.

Why does the online loading when the lobby is finally ready do you get a 'Working... Please Wait' box then you get a good 20+ seconds loading screen and after that, another 'Working... Please Wait' before the races beings to find that the LOD is still loading too?!

Why is the collision detection so sensitive? I still stand by my comments that during most online races, people ram others to win the race. I do not ask for 'ghost cars' - just some sort of 'downgrade' for the collisions and perhaps even a penalty of some kind to make people think twice. I am still trying to get the '3-win streak' badge yet I have lost count of how many times I have won 2 races then on the third, something or someone has to be a cock and spoil mine and others 'enjoyment'.

Lack of timer. You already know the comments dc-arena has written last December and I agree too - just about every racing games has it, yet PGR3 somehow doesn't.

An 'invisible' HUD that you can select as a view instead of using the glitch on every race as I like the lack of clutter on the screen so you can view the game world as freely as you like.

The menu interface; even my HDTV struggles to enable me to read the orange/black (fonts) contrast and the links to each menu seems to stutter often and is not as smooth as I like it to be. When I tried to watch a video on the 'Leaderboards' area, the whole interface is wrong and makes my eyes hurt as well as the lack of named events - the amount of times I quit the Leaderboard videos to go back to Gotham Career mode to find the number of the challenges is beyond me.

A shame really, I enjoy the game itself very much but there is a lot of problems outside of the races themselves that needs to be sorted to make the experience more accessible and most of all, fun.

:EDIT: How about unlocking that 'Online Professional' achievement while your at it too Bizarre.

It seems to be MS which is stopping devs from fixing achievement bugs. Play allot of outpost Kaloki, which has four acheivements which cannot be acheived, and from reading the posts on the official forums, it would seem that MS have gagged the devs from saying anything about potential fixes to this problem, even though they want to. It would seem that MS do not want to get the image which the PC had of bugged filled games being released which then need to be patched to work. I can understand that, but it would in that case be helpfull to ensure all bugs are worked out before the games are released.

Am i right in thinking that it does'nt matter how many races you win ONLINE and how many Kudos you recieve from online races, it does'nt actually affect your TrueSkill rating?. I've been stuck on Novice (12) for months!

Anyone know what the sequence is to go up from Novice onwards etc?

What does that number in brackets mean?

                          Comment

Well you'll need to win races in succession, so I was rank 22 after say 10 or so races. So just get in there and kick some ass and it should come together. Promlem is when you loose a few it'll match you with equally ranked players and beating them won't yield the instant results.

With the exception of 'loading times' I don't think a single one of those complaints has been an issue for me.

I was a little disappointed I couldnt watch replays straight after a two player match, but its no great loss.

Well the new patch has fixed a couple of things like being able to see who's speaking in races, so you know who is trash talking now.

Online racing seems to be a little more stable now too - I managed to get into races without dropping once tonight.

One thing that's really anoying though. If you've bought all the cars, and you've bought the new car pack, you can't actually fit them all in your garage. That is a really bad oversight from Bizzare, surely they knew this was the case?

Why should I sell the cars I've bought just to fit the new ones in?

                                Sort it out please.
