Speed mods do help things, yeah. Generally speaking you want to play things as fast as you can read them. If you want to get really extreme, you could start trying to emulate "towel mode", but on a PSP that'd be pretty difficult/hilarious.

The game's fairly tough, not quite up there with the bemani titles but still packs a fair challenge on the higher end of things. I wasn't keen on 8K mode, but cleared everything on 6K, and came very close to full-comboing a 12 Still, it's a great game with some great tracks - Blythe = win.

Well 8-key would be much more doable if the shoulder buttons were a good inch or so back. In their current position I find them fairly unusable. Also it would be nice to have the option to place the shoulder notes at the side instead of on top of the other notes. It basically makes 6-key the only real option for playing this game.

I do wonder why Konami hasn't tried to port IIDX over to PSP though. Even if you don't keep the original note patterns just so that its playable, it would be very nice to have on there.

There's a translation guide on the page that Riskbreaker posted a page or two back, on how to play the PC DJMax MMO.

Giving it a try now, we'll see how well I do after playing this.
