For example when I open up a chest I have to wait 30 seconds while it loads up.

When I travel into a new area it comes up "loading area" and I have to wait around a minute. Everything seems to be taking ages even loading up using the continue option at the main screen takes about 3mins.

    Its doing my nut in
Sounds down to a tee a cache problem (hold A as the game loads to clear it). Someone needs to design an automated cache response bot for this thread. :P

I just get stutters every minute or so walking about outside that bounce into each other and screw the frame-rate into single figures. Crashes aplenty. Numerous NPC glitches/non-triggering/getting stuck on scenery. Viewpoint glitches (seeing the back of your head sitting down in first-person). Falling through scenery. Inventory transitions that bring a whole new meaning to the term 'fade in'. Etc. etc.

Think most of these are 'loveable' quirks of an eccentric engine though...

Anyway, on with the game. Recently visited a pub for some training, and got introduced to two new quests in an idle conversation with a barmaid (this was before the most recent crash). As the review points out on the site, I love the way the game deviates its pattern by offering up new avenues of exploration when you're going down what at first appears to be a cul-de-sac route. Magnificent stuff.

Just like real life. "I'm just off to the pub for some training love. See you after the footy".

What are these "heavenly lights" i should be on the lookout for in the 3rd or 4th Mages guild quest? and what do i do once this happens?
You should have a marker on the map to a small camp. The lights themselves only show at certain types of day (or, indeed, night), and you can't miss them. Stay back slightly or you will get spotted.

You get the location by finding a book called Necromancers Moon, located in the mage uni.

Because of my suspension I can't get rid of this mage and he has been following me around for the last 6 or so hours! The worst thing is anytime I try to do anything illegal he grasses me up!
I have the guide, tells you everything....just writing this to remind myself when I get home to find it for you!

The alchemy shop in the Market District of the Imperial City (it's not with the main clusters of shops, it's on one of the edges) carries most things for making potions, so it's worth trying there - when I got kicked out of the Mages Guild they wanted 20 Deadric Hearts and 20 Vampire Dust. They won't have 20 of them in the shop, but they do replen, so just use the wait function.

Redwort Flower - Blackwood (northern), mostly near Morahame.

Good lord this game is just MASSIVE...the more you play it the more unveils before your eyes. 25 hours in now, STILL not touched the first MAIN quest...can't pull myself away from the guilds...

25 hours and I've not done:

                    Main Quest
                    Fighters Guild
                    Dark Brotherhood

I'm a fair way into the theives guild and got the mages guild reccomendations and the first main quest done.

I can actually see myself hitting nearer 80 hours in this, which is absolutely stunning for me nowadays. My gaming has become more and more fickle, but at the moment every spare minute I get I try to play this game when I should be doing other (important) things.

I can't see a game beating this, not this year, not next year...it's the best game I've played since Final Fantasy VII.

I think this is the first 10/10 I'll agree on, I just can't find a fault with it really! The balance is perfect...I see people on level 25 but I'm still on 10 but it doesn't worry me because it's simply not important!

Im absolutley loving the AI right now.
read the spoiler if youve done the dark brotherhood missions otherwise i havent given anything away as to which mission it is.

just done one of the dark brother hood missions which required me to be a guest in a mansion and get loked in with 5 other people. The aim of the game was to find the key to the big chest of gold (or so they all thourght)

anyway before id even worked my silver tong, an argument broke our between a drunk nord and a retired imperial officer. Heated words were exchanged and it eventualy broke out into a full on fight , the nord eventually fell, but not before the dark elf stabbed the retired legion in the back (she then cloaked and went on a rampage)
The way they all interacted with each other, then turned and made decisions for themselves was staggering. I was actually so shocked as to what happened (and how it happened) i turned the game off and just sat there trying to fathom what i just witnessed. And not since Halo has a game had that effect on me.

I never had that when I did it, I heard one of them didn't like Nords though, which'll be why!

Dont remember any problems with that i just followed the compass

Also i have done all the thiefs quests i do have to admit i cheated though

There was a section where a switch is one on side and a switch on the opposite side and a locked iron gate.I just could not get it to open one switch appeared to do nothing and the other switch just seemed to activate two traps i had spent a hour there and got fed up so i went into the tes and just removed the gate

Managed to finish off the dark brotherhood quests last night, after the murderous rampage I thought it best if I done some business with the thief?s rep to clear my name.

Queue most crazy thing ever, I?m standing at the light house (Imperial Harbour) combat music starts, no problem I expected it I have 4000 on my head for murdering all sorts of folk. So I look about the peer no guards, then check the long bridge, in the distance was a solitary guard running toward me but it was loading then re-loading and the guard kept going back a bit, like Sir Lancelot in Monty Python. This goes on for 5 minutes then I move toward the guard, the 360 makes some iffy noises and then loads for about 5 minutes. Suddenly behind the guard is the chief guard and around 6 other guards followed by a squadron of land Dreugths, at this point I?m thinking run, turn round and there is a massive barney on the harbour front with guards, Clannfears and those things with crocodile heads. The game starts stuttering and I run through the battle on the peer towards arman cristoffs house, the guards all start shouting

?Have you seen arman cristoff ??

Then attack me I Yield and resist arrest get to armans house pay of my fines, walk outside and yield to the guards they accept then attack me, then some bint runs up to me about the maidens bust which I supposedly stole and tells me I have to stash it in this house. Then the mission text keeps popping up with loads of quests most of which I hadn?t even started. Then the thief?s guild start attacking the guards.......

With all this going on I eventually bite the bullet the game had totally ****ed up, I go to load and realise I hadn?t properly saved in 2-3 hours and had to do a ton of quests again before the game went psycho.....

                                Ouch!

I get into the bad habit of just relying on the autosave, and I agree a lack of proper saving can fook you right up. I have to save quite often out in the field as the aren't any of the handy door opening autosaves out there. I hate it when I lose 10 minutes walking and exploring...
