Pretty fun, But like people said, if they keep releasing alot of quests for ?1.50 a pop I dont know if I'll keep buying them unless your gauranteed some cool items, etc.

Well, they listened to the comments after the horse armour and lowered the price, so hopefully they'll listen again and add in more content next time.

That usually happens when you disconnect your 360 power supply. When you turn it back on it resets the clock to the original date of november 2005 or something like that, so when you do the new saves they will have that date and those will appear on top.

I like the Orrery. It may not be the longest quest or give you a massive reward, but the machine itself is great.

When you first switch it on, it starts spinning round and the cover opens up to release the stars, it's one of the best visual experiences in the game. That's worth a quid.

One quick question as I'm still finding my way... what are my options to boost my health when I don't have any spells and eating the food that's lying around doesn't seem to do anything?
To be honest, the loading DOES become an issue when you've played the game for more "hours"...I'm at 53 now and it is becoming slightly cumbersome on the "loading" front and now I've begun to experience the slowdown whilst travelling in open areas.

Basically if you have no spells, potions or food to eat and want to boost yoru health (I presume you mean regain it?) then you need to find a bed, and sleep.

Most dungeons will have bed somewhere so clear out the area and kip a bit. Also I believe if you fast travel sometimes when you get there you are back to full health and magicka, but that might be dependant on how long you travel for?

Thanks for the info. My next dilemma when I log on is whether its worth stealing a horse or not!

well im up to about 110 hrs+ around 500 saves, autosave is turned off for everything except sleeping. Have only completed the dark brotherhood and arena quests so far, but have just met the grey fox in the thieves guild quests too - and thats about it done nothing on the mages or fighters - and not even started the main quest at all, not even delivered the amulet, hope ol' picard wasn't expecting things to be done quickly- must be turning in his grave

love this game, really do, as a morrowind addict tho, i must say that the game is dumbed down a bit for the masses (compared to morrowind) although sometimes for the better.
A couple of things niggle me - when looking at plants/alchemy items that arn't in crates/sacks etc you cant see the properties available, and have to pick the tems up first, when in crates/sacks you can see whats what first. In MW you could see the properties of wild plants before picking them.

No levitation or jump spell really limits the exploration in dungeons, they are very 2 dimensional - and this is a real shame because they are so good - in morrowind there were many dungeons with really small nooks and cranny high up and hidden away, and it really made you search everywhere just in case you missed a chest with a great item in it. I feel this is missing in oblivion, and it would be a great improvement from how good the dungeons are presently. I think theres a couple more niggles but nothing that important.

Best, most enjoyable single player game i've ever played, easily

I would personally say a categoric NO! There are reasons why, but I won't spoil the game for you.

Everyone else, I noticed someone a while back said that disconnecting from LIVE makes the loading smoother and quicker...I can confirm this as my connection died earlier and the loading, menus AND saving are about 3 times quicker...I don't know why but it does seem to work!

I noticed in the options menu there is a "save on wait" option as well as a save on sleep...how to do you "wait" other than literally just leaving the player stood in the middle of a street til the time rolls on...

christ the amount of stupid questions in this thread is scary, have we transformed into gamefaqs?

this is this a joke question? right? - how can you have played this game as you have and not know this - press the back button - as it says on the very first few pages of the manual.......then choose how many hours you want to wait..

then try reading the rest of it

No need for that kind of comment really was there?

I've read the manual twice actually, I just missed that bit, I very rarely use the back button whatsoever.

                            Ever so sorry.

Personally I consider reading a manual as a last resort. 99% of a manual's content is (usually) useless.
I was at least 60 hours in before I discovered there was a wait option at all , up until then I would fast-travel a ways then back again thus eating up some hours.

@ Jebus. Rather than read those pesky manuals explore your game options, 1 of which is configure controls, 1 of those is the key / button for 'wait'. Once you see this strange option you cant help buy try it. It's a voyage of discovery.

This is how I discovered the wait option even existed although I still prefer the fast travel method to pass the time since you could open up an event by arriving at a location at a certain time of day or night.

I am liking this game so much I will be buying Morrowind at the weekend. I'll probably read the manual too.

At 55 hours we're pretty even on that front then, I've been doing the same thing as you as well...fast travelling somewhere and doing something else til it's roughly time to travel back Worked for me so far
