Hey acender. I caught it early when i started playing Oblivion, but cured
myself. A bit early for me. I think you have to do a side quest to get a cure
if you don't stop it in time. I might retire to one of my many Houses, when
i'm near finished the game. Then become a Vampire. Only popping out to
    bite a neck or three...

Funny, nearly forgot found some bottles of blood earlier. They come in handy
    for you !

i got a hard hitting one-handed blade (lv 24) with soul-trapping ability in Fort Homestead (south of Imperial City near the bridge). i took it off a female marauder named Umbra ;-) no idea if she's been been there by chance though.

ok, now some questions from me:

      1. where to find the gorgeous looking ruin/dungeon from the trailer (with the knight blocking the path)?

      2. where/how to get a treasure chest for all my stuff?

      3. Marty, how the hell did you make so much money?

Oh forgot if this had been said here before, but in response to the lockpicking problems:
Always equip a torch when lockpicking, it's supposed to make the tumblers go slower (because you see better).
I found after a bit of frustration at the beginning when I would just rapidly push up the tumbler and press the button that a good technique is to push up the tumbler a few times untill you get a quick dropping one if you know what I mean, then press the button on the next time you push the tumbler up. This works well because the game will very rarely make the tumbler drop fast two times in a row.
Also, when pressing the buttons, don't press immediatly but wait until the tumbler has reached the top, it's all about timing it right. My security skill is not very high yet but I can do all the very hard locks usually in 1 or 2 tries. The spells work well too, but for the hard and very hard locks you'll need a lot of magicka and the downside is that your security skill won't go up this way I think.
Lastly, save before each hard/very hard lock to prevent yourself from running out of lockpicks. Hope that helps.

Raiding dungeons which bags me lots of green/deadric armour and weapons, which along with enchantments I can carry 900 weight of which gets sold for 1700 gold each. Weekly arena battles which bags 3000 at time, Fighters Guild monthly reward for being head of the guild, Night Mother money. Fortune from cooking up potions that I can now make on a single ingredient.

And most importantly, nothing left to spend it on.

Treasure chests are available in houses you buy - cheapest is the one on the waterfront for 2000 gold.

How do you buy the houses though? Only one in the game so far has come up in conversation with an NPC.

There's plenty of opportunities to ask about buying houses in each village, you just need to charm the person before they will part with any infomation.

Houses are normally bought from the lords and ladies of the castles - but like MW says, there are requirements for some of them.

Shes connected to the Clavicus Vile quest I think.

Oh, and its official, with the wife away this week I'm playing too much Oblivion. I was dreaming about it last night.

That should be a new Live achievement.

Quick question, what GFX engine does Oblivion use ?? For some mad reason I thought it was one of the various Unreal ones........

please, can someone give me a hint how/where to find this fantastic looking temple ruin from the trailer!

It's just one of the hundreds of ayelid dungeons dotted around the map, I don't think it's anything special.

A combination of different on-the-shelf engine parts I think, with a lot of it being developed in-house.

I know Oblivion uses Speed Tree.

you sure? in the trailer the ruin was guarded by a heavily armored knight! also, from the looks of the ruin, i haven't found anything like this yet.
