Ah that guild mission, had no problems with it myself but I assume you ran away and left the bloke you have to kill somewhat alive ? If so, go back and twat him.

I can't go back to kill him as I can't get back into the room. Every now and then it tells me he is knocked out.

I must be thinking of a different quest. Is there a mage you have to kill, that is in a cave/dungeon?

And are you saying you can't get back into the particular room in the cage/dungeon?

yeah if its the mages guild quest where you have to get into a room in the basement then you need to talk to someone first, the game is buggy in places though worst one ive come across is during the mages guild recomendations...

when retreving the ring of burden from the well i became over encumbred despite useing the feather spell (i was simply just carrying to much) so i droped the ring went back up droped some stuff outside the well and went back down to pick the ring up now i had room for the weight, only thing is despite scaning every inch of the floor and the dead guy again the ring was nowere to be found very anoying.

finished the mages and the assasins guild, the assasins was by far the best guild and the one i finished first i got a lod of cool stuff too as i finished every bonus i enjoyed it that much

I had to laugh at the mages guild though as i can only cast really low level spells despite being head of the mages it also has some of the best comedy moments in the game by far.

the bit where your get put in charge of the mages guild and with absolutley no reason other than he's putting you in charge the arch mage kills himself in the most comedy way ever and then falls over

For me this just cheapened the whole guild why couldent he just retire it would of made a hell of a lot more sense than just wacking himself in the head with a fireball?, i then went on to do the theives guild mission where i have to steal his staff from my bloody room talk about stupid, i activated the mission and this dead mans staff showed up in my room??? how did that get there did the dead man come back form the grave to give me it

the story really is a bit of a joke in places

Picked up my 360 over the weekend and have only now started to check out which games are worth buying. Suffice to say, after reading just a bit of this thread im massively tempted to pick this up. My dillema is that i just started a new job today - this is going to suck up my life and make me late for work isnt it?!

The Arch Mage killed himself when casting a powerful spell in order to charge up the large black soul gem you get in the quest before. It's that spell that stops the King of Worms from taking over your soul.

Jesus christ like we need an addon that is a MA-HOO-SIVE dungeon.

But as I said a few pages back, they've got me over a barrel because I want to own the ENTIRE game and have it finished...

Yeah, all that country-side up there and they don't seem to want to
use it. They should have an addon. Where there's a border region on the
edge of the map. At war with a region outside the map. Could give them
the chance add some new characters/enemies/monsters. Giving you the chance to help defend it, destory or sell, buy weapons etc. Plenty of
choices. Maybe even become it's elusive count !

There loads of new ideas, anyone could come up with...Actually at the
moment i've a bit of Oblivion cold-turkey. Might pick up HL2 EP1, if it's
in the shops. To stop the craving...!

I got into the Thieves Guild!!! Thats a minor milestone for me, as Ive really been battling with this game to be honest. Now I just need to work out how to sucessfully rob stuff to make 50g then Ill be on my merry way.

Can I just give you one small hint...if you are new to thieving then take your shoes off when you enter a house, I know you personally can't audibly hear your boots walking but the people asleep in bed can and will wake up and come shouting...Best thing is to take them off before you enter a house.
