Who do I have to beg/pay/shag to get a 360 version of this, or at least, a nice emulated one which sorts out the fuzzy, grainy graphics on the Xbox one..? Apart from that I love the game, so many levels are beautiful to look at and its such a shame that it looks like an early PS2 game in respect of the jaggies.

The PC version should sort all that out with any luck.

I retired from PC gaming a while back (again), which was good timing seeing as I had just bought a Geforce7800GTX card.. Ill hope for a 360/compatible version, and carry on with this in the meantime.

Ive found the handling to be especially tricky at times, sometimes Its nigh on impossible to get the car going in a straight line if you oversteer, usually I tap the accellerator button to try to regain control. In a way, it reminds me of a better handling Daytona (DC), I remember that game being an absolute bitch to play with a pad. OR2 isnt anywhere near like that, but the handling model in this respect seems a little similar.

Your loss, pal. Don't come here complaining about a lack of an Xbox 360 version when the PC version is coming out in about three weeks. Anyone with any amount of sense should realize that even if a 360 version of Coast 2 Coast came out tomorrow, the PC version would still DESTROY it in terms of not only visuals, but sound and control support.

Would a 360 version have support for true force feedback steering wheels? Would it run in 1680x1050 res with Full Screen Anti Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering? Will it have HDMI/DVI out? I don't think so.

Screw a 360 version....it's all about the PC version baby!

Has anyone noticed that the idle 'Flag Man' animations have been added to all 3 versions of C2C? I never realised they were in the arcade too. Shame on me If you have no idea what I'm talking about, just start a race in OR2 or SP and don't do anything (i.e; don't accelerate). Wait about 10-15 seconds and watch the show....

By the way, it's a different 'routine' for the original and the SP version.

Can you get AAA on the drift tests ? I have beaten the opponent both in finishing first and getting more points but only ever get a A rating. Am I missing something ?

                Cheers

                Matt

The amount of points you get is what determines your final grade. You just need to score more to get the AAA

Thanks.. so even more drifting needed

Are you guys just teasing us with those giant heads? Where's the review?!

Sorry dude, the heads are for Gradius Portable on PSP (plug: the review of which can be read from our homepage)

I'm not in responsible for C2C's review here, but I am working on something that I've fancied doing for a while - sort of like dissecting OutRun2's gameplay in a guide (I was quite inspired by working on Saurian's brilliant DMC3 features). Not sure if anyone would be interested in an article that's arguably quite late, but just to let you know what's in the NTSC-uk pipeline for OR2 and C2C

Ah, I didn't know Gradius had giant heads too...oh well. You can see how I thought it was Outrun, right?

Yeah, I'd be curious to read that article, although if it's as in-depth as the DMC3 feature it might be a little advanced for me. I'm a casual Outrunner. But I think those sort of guides are great to have - they become a bit of gaming history. It's sort of like wanting to read a review of a game you know inside out anyway. In ways I think as a reader you just want to be reminded of the cool stuff. Or stuff you hated, depending on your view.

Haha, in fact I totally didn't think of the banners's C2C reference until I read your post, when it did made perfect sense

The way I've started writing it, it is written in a basic sort of language that is aimed at beginners and teaching them the more advanced techniques like shift-drifting and brake-into-shift-drift combos (I'm having great fun making up my whole new OR2 vocabulary here!). I'm by no means the best OutRunner either, but as you say, it's a really fun way to really appreciate what is a genuinely brilliant brace of titles. Work on the article has slowed a bit recently since I've very recently moved into a new job, but I hope to make time for it again soon

I'll look forward to seeing it. Might learn a thing or two to push myself back up to #1 on PSP.

I haven't played it since I topped the rankings unfortunately.

Yeah, what did happen to the review, I pulled a few favours to get copies of the game sent out and all :P
