Do some cars have better slipsteaming than others? Im sure the enzo is better than the rest.

And what happened to the sun in the Xbox version?

Does anyone playing the PSP version find that some cars 'pull' to the left?

Was there any reason to why the moon was taken out of the PSP version in the Milky Way section? All it does it sit in the sky going 'I'm the moon' surely it could have stayed in?

Forgive my ignorance, but do Outrun 2's tracks appear in Coast 2 Coast, or for that matter is Outrun 2 unlockable?

Also, does the game's framerate run any better in 50hz mode as opposed to 60hz on the PS2 version (I've heard it's not as smooth as Xbox)?

Based on the feedback though, I'm still going to buy it (wanted Outrun 2 when it came out, but don't have an Xbox).

The Outrun2 tracks are all in the game.

There's no separate standalone 'Outrun2' mode like there is an 'Outrun2SP' mode though, the tracks just appear in the main play modes with the rest of them.

There is a seperate outrun 2 mode. When you enter the SP press 'Y' or triangle for ps2.

There is? My mistake then, I never realised!

You could say you get an improved outrun 2. It has slipsteaming, less slowdown and more cars.

The framerate in the ps2 game is mostly smooth, but can slow down in the later stages and in some of the challenges.

For some reason the cars look slightly squashed in 60hz on the PS2 but look fine in 50hz.

Go for it Bydo, the PS2 game is great, much better than I expected. It is better on xbox but not by much. Also in the PS2 game you get a sun in sunny beach which xbox owners dont!

Got it last night on PS2 - it's pretty fantastic really, shame Sega didn't let Sumo do Sega Rally!

The framerate does run better in 50hz mode (still in RGB, so it still looks great) with only a small amount of slowdown compared to 60hz.

I just love the fact that you can buy the orignal Outrun music. It takes me back to the days when I sat playing the ****E Spectrum version while listening to the arcade music on a tape that I got free on the front of C&VG magazine in around 1987 (I'm sure someone's going to move this post to the retro section).

Come on Sumo, lets have a Daytona 1&2 special edition pack!

I remember playing the Spectrum version with the soundtrack I got with Your Sinclair, so you're not the only one

                        God I'm old.

I got the Spectrum version too but I recall getting the soundtrack on tape with the game.

Maybe if you could afford the original release - I had to make do with the Budget one

The best thing I remember about the Speccy version was that it kept in one of my favourite video game mistakes of all time, that being the 'prancing horse' that flipped depending on which way you turned (I assume this was to save memory by using the same graphic, but mirrored).

By the way 'C', I think you're right about the music tape coming with the game, but I'm sure I got mine with a mag, as I copied the game off a friend - something which I don't do now by the way ( piracy, don't do it kids!).

Does that mean you'll have to wait untill Coast 2 Coast comes out on Platinum before Sumo will let you have your own copy?
