What else, Xbox graphics filter - same as the arcade - go play the SP arcade machine - looks the same. I'll re-iterate that all the platforms have specific graphics and engines, we've not used PS2 assets on the Xbox...

I was shocked at how good the PS2 version looks to say the truth. But when it comes to textures and things like the Water effects the X-Box just eats into the PS2.
The only slight downer is the Out Run II tracks onthe X-Box , looks better than Out Run II tracks in 2006 running onthe X-Box . I know about there's a diff filter being used, but the colour and the way the light bounces Track side objects don?t look quite as good either .

Still that?s a small complaint, given this is the best Arcade racer I?ve played since Daytona USA

Can the original OutRun be unlocked on the PSP version?

Nope - original OutRun isn't in C2C, only on OutRun2 on Xbox. We didn't have time to write a System16 emulator for PS2/PSP.

I've given up hoping to say the truth. Its such a non brainer one as to wonder at some of the monkeys working at SEGA sometimes. I'll pay ?100 for a perfect port of that game , and I mean perfect none of the graphics or music redone at all (there's no need) .

I LIVE Arcade version would rule , with 16 LIVE players , or even 40 if possible

That's a bit disappointing, tbh. Not meaning to be childish about it, but we are talking about the original OutRun - a 20-year old game hosted on vastly inferior technology, after all. It wouldn't have taken that long to code into C2C, surely?

Nevertheless, I'll still be grabbing a copy for my PSP when I get the chance to.

It would be nice to have every Outrun as a bonus. If getting them running arcade perfect is a hassle though, I can do without them!

It would be nice if Sega did an OutRun Complete Collection on the Sega Ages range similar to what they did with Space Harrier.

Just got this for the PSP yesterday.

Took a while to get used to the lack of analogue after playing the Xbox original for so long, but man... what a game.

I love this game more everyday. I sit down for a quick go, but it's so hypnotic , I end-up playing it for 2 hours or more.

When I'm playing, I always think to myself " I could play this forever, why would I need another game? "
