PS2 version in prog scan widescreen is lush. I'm loving this all over again.

Also highly shameful it got past QA with such an enormous, virtually game destroying bug.

Finally bought myself a PS2 last night and got this with it. Its absolutely stunning as I expected. I'm really surprised to see this running on a PS2 actually, it looks so amazing. I've only played SP in the arcades and prefer those tracks so far. I'm glad the original Outrun music is included but its a shame some things like the F355 are not available due to PSP connectivity. Is anyone still playing this online? I want to get this PS2 online but dont think i can, i started a thread in the ask the forum about it.
I would have been happy enough with just an arcade port of SP, but to include all the OutRun 2 tracks and the huge singleplayer mode, its great. Going through the FlagMan and HeartAttack challenges, its immensely rewarding and I love unlocking things as you go - and to your choice - the Superamerica is a beast which I am loving, going for the Testerossa next..

So I got it for PC too the other day, worked brilliantly...
...I updated my video card and sound drivers yesterday, because F.E.A.R was playing up.
OutRun is now stuttering like crazy. As if it's frame skipping a lot, frame rate seems to still be locked at 60 according to fraps.
Realtek HD Audio & GeForce 7900GT, latest drivers... Not happy!

I've been playing this on PSP for the past few days and was enjoying it (for the 3rd time, having already played it to death on Xbox and PC!) until I tried to buy some music.
SORRY, YOU MUST BUY THE PS2 VERSION FOR NO REASON IF YOU WISH TO BUY THIS BGM.
This may have been done to death earlier in this thread, so appolgies if it has, but FFS, what an absolutely retarded thing to do. There is absolutely no logic to locking items like this beyond screwing over the consumer. I've already bought the game on 2 other platforms, so now I'm expected to buy it on another?! Just nuts.
My opinion of SEGA had already fallen to pretty much rock bottom since their glory days on the Dreamcast, but now they're off the chart completely. Whoever thought this was a good idea needs to be shot. Many, many times.
Rant over.
