It just seems really boring.. randomly hammer attack buttons and move in the direction of the enemy until game over.

It looks nice an all but can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'd like to enjoy the game!

It depends on if you're the kind of guy that likes to find a combo system and rip it apart.

If you're just hammering the X button to take down crowds of enemies, which is entirely possible to do, you're just not going to have fun and it's going to be very repetitive. But if you learn how the combo system works, how to pull off different moves and find little chains in the system, then it becomes something completely brilliant.

It's not about how much carnage you cause but how you cause it, basically.

Little moments that have made me grin, include my first 794 hit Orb Spark combo, and impaling an enemy onto the front of my stick and using him as a battering ram to charge through a crowd.

Played the demo earlier and noticed that you get to play with the male character (Aspharr). I'm maybe just imagining it, but there seemed to be a lot more enemies than there are on the same level in the full game. I did a 2700+ combo without really trying. There were just so many enemies that that's what I ended up with. I've never had one as high as that in the full version when actually playing for a A or S rank...

Can't say I'm a fan of what they've done with the voices though. "En Garde!"

In the full version, you start with Inphyy, and I prefer using her. She's faster, more acrobatic and reminds me of Taki from SoulCalibur with some of the moves she can do. She's also a bad-ass.

          i really enjoyed the demo

i am a massive fan of Ropie's art and love the characters

i was a little disappointed with the gameplay at first, thought it was going to be similar to dynasty warriors (just hit X) but then a realised there were loads of combos and then began to enjoy it

its down as 1st september but a lot of games are as well, like retailers don't actually know a date, anyone have any better ideas of when it hits?

The last EU release schedule I saw had N3 dropping on the same day as Dead Rising. I'd be surprised if one or the other isn't shifted out by a week.

Wasn't expecting much from this demo but ended up really enjoying it, not sure if i'll buy it for ?40 though, especially if dead rising is out the same day

retailers are putting it as the 1st and then dead rising as the 8th

i'll definitely be getting it, see how much i can get through before dead rising consumes my life...

(get it? see what i did there? how awesome was that?!)

it is alot better than i thought, especially for a hack and slash game. I'd get it used when someone on here lists one

I'm going to have to try again and see about these combos, cause the demo seemed like trash to me. But if there is some depth to the battle system then I'm all for it. Not sure I'm overjoyed with the camera angle though.

Oh, and holy **** the voice acting is so bad it goes past 'so bad its good' territory and just goes back into bad again. Not an issue with the game as it's probably light on story anyway, but I mean, why bother.

Certainly on my to buy list as lover of Hack?n?Slash games of which this is one the best. Gets the whole one man army/God of war completely right, the throw moves are a welcome edition from the half heart grapple type moves from DW/SW, charging into a huge crowd of mobs, lampooning on in the stomach and using him to batter his mates with is excellent, I on a couple goes managed to lvl up after gaining an EXP up bonus and gained an extra move (YX, then interrupt with X,A) couldn?t pull it off though.

Liked the little touches like enemy archers staying put until I charged them down and they pull out there swords. Still being able to whack dead bodies into the air with an ground pounding moves. And of course that combo move Y,Y,Y,X,X,Y result in a massive energy beam that wouldn?t be out of place in dragon ball.

And you can take down the archer towers, just keep hacking away at the wooden base and it?ll soon fall down.

                        LOLz...

It took them that long to come out with this??

I was far from impressed... **** voice acting, **** camera, shallow control, very little to do. Being fresh out of DOA I bagged the combos straight away and completed the demo on my first sesh.

These demos are ace though... so far I've avoided 6 turkeys I would have normally wasted ?300 on.

I liked the bit on the intro where Niffy/Iffy/Nymphy fastens her breastplate though. Token tit-shot FTW!!

To be successful in Japan a game needs either tits or levelling up. This has both so is sure to set the market on fire. Too bad no one will ever make a game about me, I'd be a millionnaire.

I'm with David on this one - pretty disappointing especially given who it's from...

Formulaic beyond belief and certainly not befitting of a 360 "next gen" moniker - I don't think the xbox1 would have struggled much with it tbh.

Dull as dishwater. I was bored to tears by the end of the demo. Certainly not one I'll be picking up at release.
