This game bets more bemusing the more I play it. The first time I went through, I hammered one button and found a single special attack. This got me to the troll thing (the only time Ive got there, and I cant remember exactly what it is). Since reading this thread, Ive delved into the demo more, learnt how to equip the new weapons, and tried the combos that people have listed. Why, then, have I never got as far as I did that first time? Why, when I play the game like how it is supposed to be played, do I struggle compared to the button mashing? Feel free to blame my lack of finger skills in completing combos quick enough, and lack of judgement concerning when to start themI've got a feeling I just answered my own question there.

I didn't like the demo when I first downloaded after it originally went up on Live! Mainly because I was hoping to play as Inphhy and had to play as that foppish blonde idiot! Anyway, I was a bit bored earlier on today and remembered I had the demo saved on my Hard Drive and thought I'd play it to kill some time.
I really enjoyed it. Maybe because I finally figured out to pace the button presses for my combos rather than mash everything at the same time but it just seemed like a different game. I think I will probably buy this when it comes out Percy next week.

got this yesterday
really enjoying it
to kill the toad thing (how awesome is he? a giant toad man that wears a crown) just keep pounding him. he takes ages but he'll go down. do a combo and knock him down and as he gets back up hit him again. its dull though.
i got stuck on the goblin king just after him. ****ing stupid bosses
still enjoying the game though

yes he is
i assume you didn't study obscure eastern toad men cultures at school
he's called pappak the third or something. he's the king of the Pwucks.
i'm not sure why this game is getting mediocre reviews everywhere. admittedly it doesn't have multiplayer and the check point system is a joke but it's good fun.
and it has giant toad men in
the water wizard girl's water spells look really nice as well

i'd heard the US and PAL versions had check point saves in but i've either not found that option or it isn't there
what it needs is a sequel to properly realise what the game could have been. check points, multiplayer, proper bosses and better army commands and gameplay.
but still, worth picking up.
i got mine from Tronix for around ?30 fed ex'd to my hand. it's region free so i'd recommend getting it from the states for a much better price than any of the extortionist retailers over here
