I finally finished it after about 5 attempts, I quite liked it.

I don't like the sore wrists though

Oh for sure. Otogi manages considerably more variety, and lower poly count/screen res aside, looks much nicer too.

Yeah but Otogi was a mess of useless controls and dreadful dreadful camera system. It sure was pretty though!

I quite like this, though I've done it all before with DW. It is cool suddenly getting swarmed by enemies and being able to knock over entire screen full a time gives a great sense of power.

The lack of checkpoint was nasty though - the troll killed me and I don't fancy doing it all again tonight.

It's made me even more excited about Dead Rising more than anything

You see, I personally can't understand the negativity.

I've s-ranked it countless times now and I keep playing it over and over.

Oh I will. I'm considering ordering one this weekend considering I just got paid, and the commission I earned paid off my tax.

Being 19, living with the parents and working full time has it's advantages.

I can't be arsed to wait for the PAL version of this - I want Enchant Arm, this, and Senko no Ronde.

              Best place to order?

Played the demo of this monster today... lush, glorious, real time combat and its only a taster, cant wait for the full version and to get right into the system!!

Ja, I was quite liking this too - any game that gives me a kill-counter that gets up in the low thousands has to be appreciated. I can see getting bored with it if I hammered it for more than half an hour, and there was some *suspicious* fogging in the distance, but it's not bad. Goddamn the NTSC version not being region-free, cos I'd happily pay ?20-odd for this. No way in hell ?40+, though. It's too simple.

Is the game proper tougher than the demo, cos it was pish.

I've not played the demo yet, but...

...that sounds like it could've been the giant Troll in one of the first levels. It definitely gets much harder than that.

                      It certainly ain't for everyone.

But I like it. It's got that pure enjoyment factor yet never feeling mindless.

really, really liked the demo.I've had my eye on this game ever since it was announced, and i even tried to overlook the harsh comments coming from the japanese release.

But i have to say,i found it very enjoyable.Movement is kinda slow but taking out hordes of enemies is too much fun.I'm sure it gets repetitive after a while but it's got this feeling of being a complete bad-ass at times!

Hit detection seems weird in places.Like sometimes hit's just don't connect. But again,it does'nt bother me that much.Unless of course it gets worse(hope not)

Voice acting is standard pish, but the music is lush.Did'nt uematsu do the soundtrack for this or was that lost odyssey? question to people who have the full game.Does the battle music change for each mission or is it just one track for the whole game?

One thing that is weak,is the camera. It's crap to say the least.I really want to be able to pan it out alot further than clicking the right stick allows. And getting the right level of the camera is a bit of a nightmare,it's either slightly too high or too low. Also why the hell do i have to press the block button to centre the camera?

The lack of a checkpoint system is stupid, plain and simple. It's the only thing thats really made me think twice about buying it.

I know alot of this sounds like me moaning, but i really did enjoy the demo so has the pal version even got a release date?

Aren't most MS-published US titles region free? It's mainly JPN stuff that's locked anyway. Hope the US game is region free, really wanting more.

I can't get on with this at all. Identikit enemies with no personality or challenge, simplistic button-bashing combat, poor visuals and draw distance, dodgy voice acting... it plays like some free korean PC game I downloaded a while back called Rakion... crap. This is just my opinion, but I really wanted to like it and, well, can't.
