I've lost count of the time I've spent trying to get on. Not bloody once!

Single player is frustrating really, mainly because I see so much potential in a next-gen mech title. The bit where you're sniping long distance and the flairs are going up to highlight the enemy was very atmospheric, except that the enemy are kind of standing there doing nothing.

Cavalcade, not played that mission yet, but in other missions you have to destroy the enemy base. That basically entails sitting there for 5 minutes firing at it. Very very boring.

I hope the multiplayer gets sorted soon (haven't been able to log in once) because the single player is dire IMHO. Complete lack of info when playing. I'm on the sniper mission after the one with the flares and I keep failing it with no explanation why. You start separate from your group and yet are expected to protect them without knowing where they are or what they look like, what happened to GPS and HUDS in the future?

Yep, very poor. Plus it's real hard seeing who is a friend and enemy, they all look the same - even the bloody radar shows them both as grey dots! It needs a GRAW style enemy-highlighting system, and a little pop-up 3d map in the corner clearly showing you where you're supposed to go.

What gets me is the friendly mechs you're supposed to be protecting in the sniper missions say you have to cover them, then run off leaving you too far behind or out of position. What's the rush? They should wait until I'm in position.

Oh and the missions are way too short, but I'm quite thankful because they're pretty ****.

I must?ve timed it just right as I managed to get in first time I tried this morning. Don?t want to sign out in case I don?t get in again!

Wasn?t able to find the NTSC-UK squad. Has anyone (who has been blessed enough to access the servers) found it?

i couldn't get on this morning

the NTSC-UK squad was created yesterday but seeing as no one can find it, i'm guessing someone from the squad has to be online for it to be found

            FFS

i'll be on this afternoon and tonight, i'll keep trying to get online

I finally managed to half get on at 10:30. Got past the initial connection screen, save my data only for it to lose connection when downloading world info. piece of ****. How can they underestimate so much?? It isnt even out in the US yet! Amateurs

I logged in first thing this morning and left the machine to it, off to the gym now

If a member of the ntsc-uk squad turns up, can they yell hello

That excuse is utter bolloxs - what ? There's a max sessions variable on the server and it'll take till Tuesday to make the number a bit higher ? **** off.

The single player is nothing more than training for online - I'd have played an hour of it if the online wasn't ****ed.

What hurts the most is the massive potential I see in the single player when transposed to online (capturing the radio points, sending up flares under cover of darkness and sniping from mountain tops - It looks like online could be absolutely SUPERB - But I can't get on to find out.

For me this is just not good enough - Even COD2 was better than this back in the day when it was totally shagged and the outcry then was very loud - perhaps because not many are interested in this there's less noise but it's really, really poor of MS - damagin to live imo.

Funniest bit is the big "Developed by FROM NETWORKS" at the start - what kind of networks is that then ffs ?

Plus when I phoned the support line yesterday it just ran out.

And we used to call EA Poofters ? ****ing SEGA poofters more like.

Thanks for that. Perhaps if anyone else manages to get in and bag one of the limited spaces they too could **** off for a few hours, soon perhaps we can tie up all the servers with people doing nothing on them and everyone will be equally as miserable.

                    Jesus.

There was I thinking after 4 minutes of hitting it that perhaps there was something else I should be doing. Little did I know I needed to hit it for 5 minutes

Sega, Sega... why have you forsaken me so?

Cheers for the help though guys! I never would've guessed, would still be replaying it now...

There are quite a few totally unintuative bits like that - beware Scout mission number 5 or 6 - You're told to destroy the enemy base and avoid the units - I pummeled the **** out it before realising it wasn't the BASE - it was the collection of structures next to it.

Still, the hound building is soooo good

I've set up the "ntsc-uk temps" squad for anyone that can get on today, there's just the two of us so far though.
