Well, apart from when we faced live opposition, that was a bit expensive

Ah, yes, That'll be the mission where I slid into a river while trying to negotiate a bridge and avoid two enemy Hounds. Not my finest moment, I grant you.

I take comfort, however, from the rather splendid move you performed down the side of a mountain in a later mission: it looked like something out of a Tony Hawks' game rather than something possible for a giant robot.

What was the secret achievement you got (/me is jealous)

im glad i rented this game as i did manage to get a couple of games in on LIVE again when you see the message that tells you about maintence blah blah you know your in but ive been tryin since 2pm today & its now gone 10pm & i still cannotget in utter **** imo


even the cheapy 2100M$ points wont swing it for me to buy as single player to short & easy achievments seem a bit far fetched really

I'll hold out till Friday as Silvergun is raving about it and I do expect great things of the onlien but if it's not 100% operational it's going back for prey - it still may.

In the meantime MS and Sega are getting called.

I managed to login this morning (at about 5am), but as I needed to head out I just disconnected, replayed a couple of the single player missions and went to work.

Just two more commander missions till they're all down (then go back and get all S's for the loot, just down to three A ranked missions to redo)

Well it's happened before

I've not seen the multiplayer game so can't comment, but even though I'm sure it'll be fun with a few mates in a team (every game is) I imagine it still suffers from the same things that I don't like - slow moving mechs, plodding action, mechs just kind of stopping and then blowing up rather than being blown to the floor.

I want mechanical limbs blowing off!!

Just rang them. Maintenance is going on now though the guy on the phone distanced himslef from saying it would fix the problem, but it definitely should be better..

Mentioned comp and he said everyone is focused on gettign the issue fixed but it has been discussed and maybe along the lines of ingame content. I suggested MS points but he said that would be down to MS.

Let us know what Sega or MS say if anyone else calls them, I might do the same. This is the first game that?s ever wound me up so much that I feel like having a go at someone about it on the phone. I want to be talking tactics and weapon configurations but I still haven?t been able to play a single multiplayer match.

Are we going to have some kind of squad paint scheme and decals? I?ve enjoyed the custom decal creation, so far I?ve made some yellow and black hazard tape and a radiation symbol. King Geedorah, my sniper/soldier Hound has an all-black paint job with those decals all over it. Lack of a picture mode for the Hounds is another glaring oversight, you can view ones made on the website creator but not ones from the game.
