I know where you're coming from - this is how I envisage pro-play on this as well it's gonna be all about the gauge bar and when it comes into play.

But I have had some absolutely excellent VS games with Mardigan and we (well I) barely knew what was going on at points. When you're on your arse health-wise and that wee bullet is heading for ya ><

i would compare this to pno3 in that initially the controls seem restrictive but you soon get used to them

also have to remember that who ever your playing against they have to use the same controls

would like it if you could do special moves while dashing that would keep the pace up

Then Ernula A cartridge must be your type Make a feint with Main shots/Dash Main shots/Barrier Main shots while reloading, and snipe at enemy with Barrier-Sub shot aka Beeeeamu! Thanks to her thick armor she doesn't really need to dodge every bullets as long as you use Barrier properly.

anyway do you still think so after watching these videos?

          or

I think it's not a matter of dodging or attacking skills but to get a good grasp of each Rounder's characteristics and basic tactics.

Have been able to do all the story modes now, never doing that boss with Cuilan again if I can help it! Now I just need to try & get some live fights going to lose even more, never any one on when I do look.

Playing story mode, I'm learning how to link my attacks together for good combos, so I can concentrate on bullet dodging. I'm loving this game so far, and I'll be on most of the day if anyone fancies a battle!

Don't think it's been asked, is there a preferred (easier) character to use for n00bs ? have this in my grubby paws now thanks.

Changpo is fairly balanced so she is a good character to start with but it really depends on what kind of style you like to use, IE. clsoe quarters, stay at range, lots of evasion... they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Am starting to get a few other games tied up now so will hopefully have more time on this (He says as he eyes up Armored Core 4 )

Thanks, started with her, had quick go before having to go out really thought this game was going to be daunting from the translations etc, but it isn't - controls are quite natural and easy to pick up, gonna take some serious practicing though, can see that. All good fun

How many stages are there to each characters Score Attack mode ?

                          About 6 or 7.

I found the first character on the select screen to be the most n00b friendly as he/she (?) has a little bit of everything.

Not touched this since I first got it - 360 stupid gaming overload ><

You fight all 8 characters and the 2 boss characters

Score Attack mode features all of the characters and bosses in the game in one run. However, don't worry about the final boss, as you don't need to defeat him to get the Score Attack achievements.
