Ahh, gotcha. I'll need to do some hard testing on that to make sure that's completely correct, since I'm pretty sure the projectiles are nullified by coming into contact with the Rounder's melee weapon, which isn't always placed right in front of them when they're dashing towards the opponent. The reason why I say this is because I rarely melee dash with Lili since most of the time I just eat danmaku for doing so, and I'm more confident with Changpo because her blades are right in front of her. =\

So logically that means the reason why both rounders simultaneously knockback and take no damage is because they've both timed their attacks to hit each other simultaneously, right?

okay, from what I've gathered so far, invulnerability from projectiles for a melee dash goes like this:

      - You are vulnerable to projectiles when your Rounder prepares itself for the melee dash (i.e.-drawing out the weapon)

      - You are completely invincible to projectiles the moment your Rounder starts moving towards your opponent. However, I'm not too sure if this applies even though your Rounder is still in its dash animation while you're touching your opponent at the same time.

      - You are once again vulnerable to projectiles the moment your Rounder stops moving again from the dash. (i.e.- your Rounder starts their melee swings)

So this means that characters with pretty slow startup times (like Changpo) are trickier to use because of the extra milliseconds of vulnerability they have for performing their melee dash sequence.

On a side note, they should probably make melee attacks available for you when fighting against B.O.S.S. forms. that'd be interesting.

Just played with Goemon now. Was quite a pleasant experience.

        Also,

It may look better in Rev. X most of the time, but I'd love to see some of the small touches they put ifor the NAOMI version into Rev. X. They're probably still setting priority on fixing the sound effects for the Rounder explosions first though. For example:

        - Changpo in the SP version has some nice animations (dash animation lhas more detail, her Rounder goes up when she does her sub melee attacks, unless I wasn't really paying attention to the way she dashed in Rev. X until I saw this video). Oh wait, I think she's always had that unique dash for the NAOMI version.

        - Karel has electricity (woot, first time I've seen a streaming 60fps video!) flowing out from the mech's arms for his B.O.S.S. form every time it attacks.

I could be completely wrong on this though because my brain remembers the bullet patterns more than what the animations looked like from the source firing it.

          I'm sure it was...
Just to set the scene - Dai jou bu dancing around in the flowers and sunshine while I engaged in bullet and melee hell as he proceeded to kick seven shades out of me!!

I was a sweaty, dribbling mess by the end! >_<

They were some fine skills fella, put me to shame I have to say.
Still another quality experience of Senko tho, which I really enjoyed - even tho I was getting totally pwnd.

          More, I need MORE!

Meh, you all sound like you're having a great time with this. Can't wait til 360's get some kind of region unlocker, I want this badly, but can't justify shelling out for another 360

I still haven't fought Dai. I'm looking forward to bringing Mika out again.

Well, I don't know if this will change your mind, or the fact that getting a NAOMI board + Senko no Ronde SP easily costs more than a 360+Senko no Ronde Rev.X with SP patch. =\

Also, I've managed to convince another person at my school campus to get a 360 primarily for this game (Senko no Ronde, I mean). Expect to see him online sometime next month.

Sorry to drag this thread away from Senko, but when's that out?

Not stated just yet, since it was just announed sometime this summer, but it seems like the production speed is pretty fast since they already have the additional character for the 360 version up and running already. Forecast looks like either early to mid 2007, with the long delay to probably synchronize everyone's data on Xbox Live and/or to somehow find a way to emulate/implement the touchscreen found in the arcade version.

If G.Rev had the time and money, they'd probably implement a school life sim for Senko no Ronde Rev. X (could possibly a future Xbox Live Marketplace add-on for only 1000 yen! [I hope G.Rev isn't reading this...] The drama CD might be closet thing we'll ever see them milking one of their games), based on some of the funny antics I heard from the drama CD, even though I didn't understand 98% of what they just said.

I also don't think this was posted before, but there is an alternative music track for each stage in versus mode. To hear the alternate track, press the Y button instead of A when you select the stage.

I was always wondering how those Japanese players changed the music track whenever I played a match with them...

I picked this up second hand when I was in Tokyo for the TGS (only the equivalent of ?17!) so if anyone wants to add me to their friends list and send over an invite, feel free to do so. Please note that I am truly crap at this game, so don't expect too much of a challenge! I found the link to the ST a few pages back and printed that out, so hopefully with a bit of practice I can raise my level from crap to "it's not a complete crime if you lose to me"

Make sure you know how to dash cancel (after you do an attack while dashing, press the dash button or A without pressing anything on your analog/arcade stick or directional pad) as well, since that wasn't mentioned anywhere in my ST.

I need to update that guide very badly. =\

Ha, I'll have enough trouble remembering the standard special moves, let alone all the other stuff I've been reading about on this thread Gonna need a good few days practice at this before I'm good enough to not get completely caned every time! Gonna try and get a fair bit of time on this at the weekend.

If you need a live training session mate, i'm more than happy to set up a player match game and teach you a few things.
