new posts

Up til now there have only been 10 korean 360 title, mostly Microsoft and EA games, I think the last major 360 game out there was Tiger Woods in March.
I have a couple of the Korean games and all are region encoded.
I think its highly unlikely this will be region free, still there is the possibility that a Chinese (Asian version) might be.
On the plus side it means fresh blood on Live.

      Good sessions with Goemon.

Watch out for his Culian A - He's showing a lot of potential.

            I'm playing every weekend

And hello. I'm really glad to see that there are at least 5 SenkoRo players outside Japan

Actually I'm playing at arcade and don't know much about RevX, but as far as I know RevX's new patch makes the system almost same as SP version of arcade.

So, as a help for oversea fans, I decided to write a kind of chara faq.
I'm not English native so you may feel it hard to read, but I wish it will be your help because it did take me a long time lol.

Really was curious on how much has been altered from the original arcade version (apart from the button controls)

                Welcome to the board!

I think G.Rev were releasing the new version in the Arcade over there, weren't they?

Yea, I thought Senko no Ronde SP was the arcade rendition of Rev. X.

yeah, SP was released after Revision X, though the latter benefits from quick and painless online updates.

Basically the arcade version doesn't have any advantage over RevX. Visuals are much poorer, soundtracks are smaller, BOSS evoking effects are simpler, the story mode is also much simpler, no bonus artwork, no ranking system, etc. The game balance was the only advantage but now it is fixed.

Both of old RevX and SP are based on "New Ver." but they had different game balances. The old RevX was known for easy controling, especially for the easy responce of the dadacan (DashAttack-DAshCANcel) technique, which is now adjusted.

If you use Sakurako, shot Sagittarius, period.

If you use Mika-A, try point-blank Deffusion Shot against Cub Skirt or Madam Butterfly, and Orbital Sword if you can.

If you use Karel, check this fan-made tutorial movie.

For more details, check the BOSS construction info.
For example, Mika's BOSS Last Arbiter info says,
                            Core: Ventuno Due
Shell: Shield, Laser cannons, Option units, Booster warhead
                            Indestructible: Body, Booster
"Core" is the weakspot and "Shell" is breakable spots.
Attacking Core gives damage to enemy's BOSS gauge.
Attacking Shells doesn't affect BOSS gauge, but you can reduce enemy firepower and recover your charge gauge by destroying them.
(Note that all kinds of breakable objects, like Mika's missile and shoulder units, Lili's main shot and twin tail, Ernula's missile and reflector, Shells of all BOSSes, etc., increase your charge gauge when you destroy them.)

And check the barrages of your own Rounder too. For example, Changpo has...

                            MS: Sweet Roll (I)(Me)
                            D-MS: Sweet Roll (I)(Me)
                            66MS: Choco Topping (C)
                            46MS: Bitter Swing (C)
                            426MS: Strap Missile (I)
Sweet Roll looks useful because it has invinsible effect and melee effect, that means you don't need to dodge enemy shots, and the melee hitbox (simitar) gives additional damage. Actually Sweet Roll is known as one of the best anti-BOSS weapon in the game.

The input accepting time is shortened and some barrage moves lost dadacan ability.

Sweet Roll in action. Also a pretty good match overall. From my experience though, Sweet Roll kinda sucks against defending missles. Usually just better to just melee dash right up to them.

And speaking of melee dashing, how do you know if you're going to nullify all of the firepower thrown at point-blank range when you do it and when it won't? I'm assuming it's based on where the weapon is located when your character draws it out for their dash, but it's been inconsistent at times.

Very effective against the less mobile B.O.S.S. forms. I say we make a meme with her that every time she launches the Sagittarius missles or when she does her Final B.O.S.S. attack we scream, "AHHHHHH MOTHERLAND!"

Careful though that your opponent won't do that Cub Skirt spin thing when you're trying to use Diffusion Shot at point-blank range. But yeah, it's pretty effective.

Melee dash keeps invincibility effect until just before the actual melee motion begins. So you will be intercepted if enemy fire is hitting you at the moment your melee dash ends. If not, your melee will hit enemy before he fires. For comparison, S melee attack has short invincibility time, so it can intercept enemy's M melee if the timing is perfect.

In fact, it's not very difficult to dodge Sakurako's FBOSS attack once you learn the trick. To give two hints, "There are three aimed missiles among them." "The actual effect area of Anti-barrier is not circular but spherical."
